Amazon has radically changed how we shop for clothing. The greatest uncertainty when buying clothes online is whether it fits and if it looks good on you. But now Amazon lets you try clothes on before you buy them. They do this through their Prime Wardrobe Program.

For many online shoppers, Amazon is a one-stop shop for everything from electronics to baby wipes. This eCommerce site has made it extremely easy to purchase millions of products that are delivered straight to your doorstep, sometimes in just a matter of a few hours. It is very convenient, saves you time, and usually provides a way to purchase items for much less than they actually cost in the local stores.

Amazon aspires to become the number-one destination for everything high fashion, and it’s getting there. Men’s work clothes and men’s pants and shorts were the top apparel items sold on Amazon in 2016.

If you are a regular Amazon shopper, it only makes sense for you to try to maximize your savings when buying from the site. In this article, we are going to give you tips on how to enjoy the convenience of shopping with Amazon, whilst saving some money.

1. Check Out Amazon Outlets

The Amazon Outlets link can be found at the top of the Gold Box page. This is where you will find reduced prices on clearance items, overstocks, markdowns, and more. Most of the categories found here are broken down by discount percentage amount which makes it much easier to browse the best deals first. For instance:
Earphones
• 35% or More Off
• 45% or More Off
• 65% or More Off

There’s also a ‘Used Items’ link which is found at the top navigational bar on the Gold Box page. This is where consumers will find discounts on items such as laptops, TVs, laptops, home audio, tablets, and more.

2. Check out Amazon Warehouse Deals

Similar to the Amazon Outlet, Amazon also has a section called Warehouse Deals, where shoppers can shop for open-box goods, returned items, last years models, and warehouse slightly damaged items. Since the items are not in ‘perfect’ condition for retail sale, they are offered here at highly discounted prices. All of these products are fully backed by Amazon’s satisfaction guarantee, although, the products don’t generally come with any manufacturer’s warranty.

Since these items are purchased through Amazon, shoppers get excellent customer support in case anything goes wrong with the item(s).

3. Look out For Today’s Deal

Amazon makes it easy to find great deals, especially during the holiday season. One way they do this is via the ‘Daily Deals’ section of the site. To take advantage of these deals, you simply need to go to the Amazon site, check the top of the navigational bar and at the middle, you’ll see ‘Today’s Deals.’ Click on that logo, and you’ll go directly to the deals for the day. Here, you will find lots of amazing deals which run for only 24 hours (i.e from 12:00 am, to 11;59 pm). You will also find ‘Lightning Deals’ which normally get posted at any given time, and last for just a couple of hours. You can choose to sign up for daily deals email if you want to receive Amazon emails highlighting deals.

4. Amazon Coupons

Amazon has coupon codes for hundreds of items every day. Amazon coupon codes and offers can save you up to 50%. Here is a little-known secret to finding Amazon coupons. Just enter the word “coupons” into the search box.

5. Trade in Your Old Stuff

You can save greatly on Amazon by turning your old laptop, mobile phone, game console, or tablet into a gift card by trading it in. Amazon also accepts books and video game trade-ins. Some of the trade-ins are actually eligible to receive immediate gift cards, meaning you do not have to wait until Amazon receives the items in order to get your gift card(s). Thousands of items are eligible for the trade-in program, and the process is very easy and convenient.

6. Try Amazon Mom

If you are a dad, you should consider giving Amazon Mom a try. You will receive a 3-month trial period which gives you the benefit of absolutely free shipping, although the service normally comes with an annual fee of $99 (just like Amazon Prime) which starts after the trial is over.

Amazon Moms with a Prime membership, whether a free trial or paid, also get 20% off baby wipes and diapers purchased via ‘Subscribe and Save’, and 20% off 5 or more subscriptions each month. You will also receive a welcome box that’s stuffed with goodies after you buy items worth $10 from the baby registry. In addition to this, there is the convenience of having baby/infant essentials delivered right to your doorstep.

Note that, you do not necessarily have to be a mother to join the Amazon Mom program; Amazon says that the program is offered to all caregivers, 1 per household, and there’s no proof required.

7. Try Amazon Student

Anyone above the age of 18 years and in higher education can get a free 6-month trial of the Amazon student service. This service will give you 6 months of free 2-day shipping, Amazon Prime video access, and various other discounts. Once the trial period ends, you’ll get a paid membership for up to 50% off, or $39 per year. For that price, you will receive free 2-day shipping, Amazon Prime Video benefits, unlimited photo storage, access to Amazon Prime Music, and various other special student promotions. What’s more, you will get a $10 credit for every colleague you refer to Amazon Prime Student.

To qualify for this service, you’ll need an .edu email address or other proof of enrollment.
