SLANDER Teams Up With SAYMYNAME For Turbulent New Track "I Can't Escape"
Dive inside the world of decadent addiction with SLANDER and SAYMYNAME‘s newest single “I Can’t Escape” on Insomniac Records. Featuring the impassioned, breathy vocals of Feli Ferraro, the track tells the tale of a tortured mind through the juxtaposition of soothing, emotive piano melodies with stabbing basslines and serrating synths that jar to the bone. “I Can’t Escape” opens with Ferraro’s voice over orchestral melodies as she builds tension with lyrics like “In my head I know it’s too late, I’m locked in and I can’t escape” before SLANDER and SAYMYNAME unleash their signature aggressive, assaulting drop that is guaranteed to please even the most discerning of bassheads. “I Can’t Escape” is a prime example of SLANDER’s mastery of turning emotions into turbulent, cathartic music that always commands the crowd.

SLANDER first made waves in the scene when they debuted their remix of Showtek’s “We Like to Party” in 2014, coining their “heaven trap” sound, a blend of trance and trap. However, SLANDER has proven they are capable of so much more than remixes and a singular genre. In 2017, the duo has been making waves with their original productions and an evolved sound, as evidenced on “Superhuman” featuring Eric Leva, “We Out” with Danish producer Stoltenhoff, “One Life” on Spinnin’ Records and their rendition of Major Lazer’s “Know No Better” on Mad Decent as well as recently released “Welcome To The Fire” with Sullivan King on Disciple Records. Their ability to produce both bass-heavy headbangers and emotionally stirring melodies distinguishes them as talented, multifaceted producers, not to mention their insane stage presence. SLANDER just wrapped up their Superhuman tour and has been back in the studio making more fire music featuring all-star collaborations, like “I Can’t Escape” with SAYMYNAME, the Los Angeles based producer who won Insomniac Events’ EDC 2013 Discovery Project. This release is only the beginning of what SLANDER has planned for 2018, so stay tuned to see what they have up their sleeve next.
