Henrix and Adrien Mezsi Remix "Forgot About Dre”
Henrix and Adrien Mezsi Remix “Forgot About Dre” are at it again, and this remix of a hip-hop anthem will be a pleasant surprise to your eardrums. Unless you have been living in a cave for the past ten years, you will instantly recognize Eminem’s unmistakable voice spitting the catchy hook beginning with “Now-a-days everybody wanna talk…” on “Forgot About Dre.” The Grammy-winning single gave Dre’s critics a big middle finger while reminding them of the Dr.’s monumental influence on the hip hop genre, and it’s safe to say the message was delivered. Attempting to remix such a classic is a bold move for a producer, but Henrix possesses the prowess to make it a success.

True to the melting pot aspect of Henrix’s home city, Miami, his inspirations range from hip hop to indie dance to classic rock. He distinguishes his tracks from the rest of the pack by delivering a larger-than-life feel and unexpected rhythmical nuances that stem from his diverse musical taste. For “Forgot About Dre,” he teamed up with Los Angeles producer Adrien Meszi; the two collaborated on the “Raverz” EP, proof that their combined strengths produce pure fire. For the remix, the two adds dramatic instrumentals and a glitch-hop beat that both embodies and elevates the defiant mood of the original. Mixing hip-hop into EDM takes skill to execute, and Henrix has kept the integrity of the track while putting his own bass-heavy imprint on it. Expect the crowd to get rowdy when this one is dropped! Dare I say it–Dre and Eminem should appreciate this homage to their mastery.

It’s important not to ignore the catchy wordplay Prince Lit delivers on his new single “T.O.K.Y.O.”. Beyond the brilliant production, the rapper from Denver, Colorado shows off introspective verses that reflect his triumph over life obstacles. One way or another, his rapping style is very conversational but his boundless creativity relies on his ability to write rich rhymes. Believe it or not, Prince’s talent for rhyming came at the early age of 6 and took inspiration from his mother’s poetry. In my opinion, his stimulating music is exactly what the scene needs today. Without further ado, stream in full below this Hip-Hop gem.

Dane
First of all, I like how Dane‘s vocal ability conveys emotions on this new track entitled “Enjoy Yourself”. Some might think this is a song that it’s hard not to sing it out loud. Just like you do in the shower without the fear of being judged, this effect on music lovers only occurs with catchy compositions like the one below. In addition, lyrics will give you a nostalgic feel. Clearly, verses invite you to relive memories when you used to find different ways to conquer your girlfriend. According to the artist based in LA, his style is contemporary RnB. On a side note, Michael Jackson and Usher are two of his music idols. Watch him performing live on April 25th at The Study in Hollywood, or on May 5th at Stokely’s Social House. Stay tuned!

Detroit
Hailing from Detroit, 5ive White is a talented rapper that should be on your radar. Recently, he dropped the music video for his latest single “Ya Check Heavy Or You Frontin'”. Personally, I believe it was a wise decision to shoot this clip in Miami, where he flaunts his money and luxury cars. Overall, you will notice the song was built around a pretty nice old school Hip-Hop melody.  Furthermore, his rapid-fire directness is worthy of admiration. With a fast-paced style and inventive wordplay that is impossible to imitate, this new artist is having a growing fanbase all over America. Enjoy it!

Furthermore, memorable hooks and the mantra-like “if for once in my life” verses have proven this song smells like a big hit. On “41”, you can hear Verde speak about his longtime infatuation with Queen Pink Rose of East Atlanta, GA, who is responsible for providing him great joys and smiles.

‘MGM Grand Detroit’ An Elevated Musical Response

LOGIC LDOT
shares with us his 17-track album ‘MGM Grand Detroit 10’. To the surprise of many, this is a very personal and intimate artistic project. There are so many good songs on this fresh material, which are nothing else than a reflection of the Michigan-based artist’s life. Beyond this, the whole concept is truly an elevated musical response, even more so, when this talented man has survived 8 shots and overcame difficult incidents related to drugs and suicide.

As time went on, this rapper’s hopes rise like a phoenix from the ashes. In my opinion, the strongest track off the album is called “Blessings”. Despite all the turbulent life he experienced in the past, he was blessed in alliances with Sony and Universal Music Group, who trust in his brilliant skills. Moreover, I also like this song because it’s so damn catchy. “Blessings” deserve to be considered as his next single as it is an ass-shaking anthem. You’ll like it because lyrics touch on themes like personal growth, abundance, and prosperity. People can easily identify themselves with his story too. When all is said and done, successful people fail more and recover fast.

Stream in full the rest of these tunes in order to enjoy more head-bobbing jams. 😉
