DAF House
DAF House reflects the duality of class in America, combining the grit of Al Capone with the glamor of Hollywood’s Golden Age; the rough-and-tumble nature of street cred elevated to American royalty by hustle, wit, and charm. This philosophy is channeled into elegant, practical art fit for any home. From the first chisel of wood to the last stitch of fabric, each artisan piece is 100% crafted in the United States and carefully appraised to ensure the highest standards of quality and comfort.

1 – Tell us about the inspiration of Revamp Décor.

My husband, who is a talented developer has been the inspiration behind Revamp Decor (which is now DAF House). It was through my involvement in his property development projects that led me toward my true calling as a designer, and creator of artistic decor. His constant encouragement and support has given me the confidence to pursue this passion.

2 – What do you love most about interior design?

What I love most is that as a designer I have a profound impact on people’s lives through their environment. This is where they live, work and play. I enjoy listening to my clients goals and learning who they are. It is an art form of bringing these ideas and inspirations to life while creating a space that is aesthetically pleasing and enhances one’s quality of life.

3 – What inspires the look of your inventive chairs?

Duality! Duality of class in America, combining the grit of Al Capone with the glamor of Hollywood’s Golden Age; the rough-and-tumble nature of street cred elevated to American royalty by hustle, wit, and charm. This philosophy is channeled into everything that is DAF House.

4 – What do you think is the key element in creating top-notch design?

Designing is more than concepts and details, it’s an art form of bringing ideas and inspiration to life. As a Certified Coach in Design Psychology, my expertise lies in understanding the unique vision of all my clients. Whether revamping one small space or a complete remodel, my approach to design comes from a strong belief that anything can be done.

5 – What is the hardest part of your work?

Knowing when to stop working! I absolutely love what I do so it doesn’t feel like work and I can get lost in anything and everything from the creating and designing to the sourcing of materials and products to the space planning and budget.

6 – What are your overall creative career goals?

To continue creating artistic pieces that are not only unique but thought-provoking while improving interior spaces to reflect the heart, goals and personality of my clients and support the health, safety and well-being of the occupants.

7 – Who would be your ideal celebrity client?

I believe all my clients are a celebrity and they have all been ideal.

8 – What else, if anything, would you like to tell our readers?

Change is possible no matter who you are, what you’ve done or how you live it starts with design. Design your environment, design your life.
