Protocol Recordings Releases Festival Track "Don't Know" By Moska, David Nova & Jay Klash
No one knows how to throw a party like Nicky Romero and his Protocol gang, and the label’s latest release “Don’t Know” is a guaranteed banger for this festival season. Moska, David Nova, and Jay Klash – three emerging artists on Protocol – teamed up for “Don’t Know,” which is at once groovy and heavy-hitting with its percussive buildup and funky vocals that all lead up to the track’s massive, reverberating drop and serrating synths. The three artists seamlessly fused a multitude of genres for their breakout track, appealing to fans at the bass stage as well as those looking for some old school, big-room house. Although all three Colombian artists are newcomers to the scene, Moska’s remix of J Balvin’s “Mi Gente” has been nominated for Best Remix at the WDM Radio Awards, and David Nova and Moska are in the process of making more music. Protocol is consistently at the forefront of the most exciting sounds to hit the electronic music scene, and we can look forward to hearing more from Moska, David Nova and Jay Klash as fresh members of the imprint’s family.

Protocol Recordings has become synonymous with forward-thinking, dynamic electronic music since its creation in 2012 by Nicky Romero and has seen immense success with both established and emerging artists. Last year Protocol celebrated its fifth birthday with a series of new releases including that culminated in their massive annual showcase at the Amsterdam Dance Event. Their first five years have been starred with now-classic tracks, such as Calvin Harris & Nicky Romero’s “Iron,” NERVO & Nicky Romero’s “Like Home,” Stadiumx “Howl At The Moon” and Tommy Trash’s “HEX,” forever solidifying Protocol as one of the most renowned electronic labels in the world. Protocol’s focus on developing up-and-coming artists has garnered them a roster of incredible talent, from veterans like Tom Tyger, Raiden and Florian Picasso to new discoveries like Maximals, Sam Void and more. Between their ever-evolving imprint, captivating stage presence, and consistently incredible, cutting-edge new music, it’s safe to say that Protocol has more than earned their spot at the top.

Missing Summer Already? Aligee & Phareed Bring Good Vibes Back With New Song

Try this new song if you’re missing hot summer days. Aligee and Phareed combine their creativity on “Believer”. Firstly, the summery vibes are feelgood on this one. Among other things, you will notice immediately they’ve produced something catchy, bright, and radio-friendly. For some reason, I’m one of those guys who sing along to good music I discover. So, I can assure you that the chorus + Chad Kowal’s top-notch vocals are remarkable. Of course, this is not the first time Aligee and Phareed work together. Two good examples of previous hits could be their debut track  “Eyes Up” and a recent remix for Post Malone’s ‘”Feel”. Keep an eye on these rising artists via their socials. Further surprises can never be ruled out.

Denis First
unveils a bold remix of Steve Aoki and The Backstreet Boys‘ single “Let It Be Me”, and I guarantee this one is going to be your guilty pleasure on repeat. The remix keeps the original’s famously crooning vocals and incorporates dreamy melodies and a groovy, undulating bassline. The remix “Let It Be Me” is undoubtedly a blast from the past for many of First’s listeners who grew up listening to Backstreet Boys as pre-teens, presenting a fresh new take on their childhood favorites with a modern dance sound. The remix follows Denis First & Reznikov’s recent original releases “Taking Off,” which was also their Ultra Records debut, “Shameless” (Universal/Island), “Move On” (Future House Music), “Heart Away” and “Empty” (both on Enhanced Music).

“A few years ago, when every single girl in the world was the biggest Backstreet Boys fan, I couldn’t even imagine that one day I’ll be releasing a remix for them! It’s sooooo cool! And Steve Aoki is one of the producers whose outstanding talent and work I respect most these days – so it was a very very very great pleasure to have a chance to produce a remix for their collaboration!” – Denis First

Denis First is an academically trained music producer who made his debut on the scene by combining forces with friend and fellow producer Reznikov when they began to make unofficial remixes of their favorite tracks. This eventually led to Denis’s first official release in 2018, which has progressed into official remixes for iconic artists such as R3HAB, Galantis, Cash Cash, Nikki Vianna, Madison Mars, Janieck and others. After releasing on renowned labels like Spinnin’ Records, Atlantic Records, Island Records, Sony, and Enormous, Denis First brings his euphonious and dynamic sound to Ultra Records with the “Let It Be Me” remix. Keep an eye out for Denis First as he continues to flex his talent with more new music coming soon!

R3HAB & Ella Vos Team Up For Dreamy, Melodic Dance-Pop Crossover Tune “Exhale”

Published

Ella Vos
R3HAB partners with acclaimed singer/songwriter Ella Vos for their new single “Exhale”, an electronic ballad that combines the best of dance and pop music. Featuring soft, rolling basslines and dreamy soundscapes, “Exhale” lets Vos’s velvety vocals genuinely shine as she belts out lyrics that make the heart both break and soar at the same time. Although this track is a departure from R3HAB’s usual sound, the genre-crossing single is one of his most masterful to date. “Exhale” is his first official collaboration with Ella Vos, though he also remixed her popular single “White Noise” in 2017. Vos was truly introduced to the world when “White Noise” went viral and hit number one on Spotify and the Hype Machine, and she has since been praised by the likes of Rolling Stone and Neon Gold for her ethereal style. The single follows R3HAB’s “Alive” with Vini Vici and his remix for James Arthur’s “Treehouse.” “Exhale” is out worldwide via CYB3RPVNK in partnership with AWAL.

“After I remixed Ella’s ‘White Noise’ we built a relationship that has lead us to this original release of ‘Exhale.’ Ella’s amazing vocals were all I needed to build a great production around. I am very proud of the result and can’t wait for the world to ‘Exhale’ with us.” – R3HAB

Over the last seven years, the Dutch/Moroccan artist Fadil El Ghoul – better known as R3HAB – has established himself as a leader at the forefront of modern electronic music. His talent has been called the “future of the craft” by the likes of Forbes and Billboard, and he’s circuited the globe’s best clubs and festivals all without the backing of a formal record label. In 2017, R3HAB independently released his debut album “Trouble” through his imprint CYB3RPVNK, which amassed over a half-billion streams globally and officially placed R3HAB among electronic music’s heavy hitters. He made number 12 on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list in 2018, topping the charts with tracks like “Lullaby” and “Hold On Tight,” while his sophomore album “The Wave,” revealing more complex, emotional and experimental layers of himself, has amassed over 250 million streams on Spotify alone. In 2019 R3HAB’s “All Around The World” with A Touch of Class quickly became his biggest ever record already topping 200M streams across platforms and achieving gold & platinum status in 8 countries.

Ella Vos has quickly become one of the most exciting new acts in pop music. Beginning with her viral hit “White Noise,” Vos has hit number 1 on both Spotify and Hype Machine’s Viral Charts. Acclaimed for her dreamy soundscape and praised by the likes of Rolling Stone and Neon Gold, her debut album “Words I Never Said,” and her follow-up EP “Watch & Wait” have received over 250 million streams independently. With sold-out shows across America, Ella Vos’ songs have soundtracked ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” MTV’s “Catfish,” E!’s “Life of Kylie” and The CW’s “The Originals.”
