Zeds Dead, Snails & Akylla Drop New Track “Magnets” Ahead Of The Shell 2.0 Tour

Published

zeds dead
While a love song isn’t necessarily what you’d expect from the inventor of a genre called “Vomitstep,” that’s exactly what Snails has created on his newest release “Magnets”. Produced in collaboration with heavyweights Zeds Dead and live electronic duo Akylla, “Magnets” is a rollercoaster ride through a passionate relationship, complete with dramatic vocals, stabbing percussion and goosebump-inducing bass. To sum up the track, Snails says “”Magnets’ is all about putting together beautiful melodies and vocals with intense basslines to create a powerful love song. The mix of all our styles complimented each other exactly how we wanted and so happy how the song came out.” A romantic ballad for the modern basshead, “Magnets” is guaranteed to create some serious flames on the dancefloor this fall. It’s out now as a co-release between Snails’s Slugz Music and Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats labels.

Just in time to showcase his recent releases – such as “Magnets” and “The Shell: Remixes” LP – Snails is about to embark on his massive 52 date North American tour, which will feature his brand new stage The Shell 2.0. The stage is being called a “holographic bass music experience powered by groundbreaking production” and is done in part with Beama Visuals, the stage production wizards for Excision and other impressive clientele. The tour kicks on October 5th at Snails’s own festival Sluggtopia at the iconic Red Rock Amphitheater, where “The Shell 2.0” is being unveiled to the world. Expect to hear some heavy tracks from Snails’s recent remix album of “The Shell”, which features some guest artists who will perform at Sluggtopia, including Funtcase, Space Jesus and SVDDEN DEATH among others. Also, 12th Planet, Kill the Noise, Liquid Stranger, Cookie Monsta and Voyd will be joining Snails throughout the entire “The Shell 2.0” tour on select dates as well as SVDDEN DEATH, HEKLER and UBUR as touring support. Check out “The Shell 2.0” tour dates below and grab tickets to a city near you!

Snails is truly an artist whose music has no boundaries. After spending years crafting music featuring the most grimy sounds and unrelenting bass imaginable in his small apartment, his “Vomitstep” sound found a home on labels like OWSLA, Dim Mak and Monstercat – along with a cult following that truly embraces it. Snails recently launched his label Slugz Music as home for his music and others’ that is as outrageous as they want it to be. As collaborators on “Magnets,” Zeds Dead add their pioneering touch of bass music that has developed into their iconic sound over the last decade through classics like “White Satin” and “Lost You.” Their consistent stream of quality releases has won them the adoration of millions of fans and praise from the biggest names in music. Following the release of their long awaited debut album in 2016, Zeds Dead have continued to surprise old fans and gain new ones with a series of collaborations with Illenium, Ganja White Night, Jauz, and 1000 Volts (Redman & Jayceeoh). Zeds Dead runs their own label Deadbeats, recently released singles from Devault, DNMO, GG Magree, Hunter Siegel, an EP from 1788-L, and a critically lauded debut album from Shades entitled “In Praise of Darkness”. The organic melodies and emotive vocals on “Magnets” are compliments of electronic live duo Akylla, who join forces with Snails again after working with him on 2017’s “Only Want U.” “Magnets” is bursting with the talent of these three artistic groups, so don’t miss the chance to be among the first to listen!

Carnage Drops New Tune “Holy Moly” Ft. Terror Bass, Including A Sinister Music Video

Published

on

By

Terror Bass
King heavyweight Carnage debuts his new tune “Holy Moly” ft. Terror Bass, and it’s perhaps his most sinister track to date. Accompanied by a darkly themed music video that brings his production to life, “Holy Moly” opens with cinematic, orchestral tones as the video depicts a young girl who stumbles upon a monastery after witnessing the horrific murder of her mother. She quickly finds out that these nuns aren’t as holy as they seem as they teach her some dark secrets to help revenge her mother’s murder. “Holy Moly” breaks down into jarring basslines and serrating synths as she undergoes a shocking transformation, combining elements of trap, dubstep and bass music for one of Carnage’s most heavy-hitting tracks to date. The new release is the third in a string of Carnage’s recent EDM releases, following “Blitzkrieg” and “Slot Machine.”

STREAM/DOWNLOAD

Carnage, who is based in Las Vegas, established himself as the reigning champion of Festival Trap and Hard Bass music with early hits, later becoming one of the first artists to transition electronic music into hip-hop, rap, and urban styles. Carnage founded his label, Heavyweight Records, in 2017 as a home for hard bass and hip-hop music. Since then, he has gathered a formidable crew of cronies on the imprint. After taking a break from music in 2018 to focus on his mental health, Carnage is back and more aggressive than ever returning to his EDM roots with “Blitzkrieg,” “Slot Machine” and now unveils the brand new “Holy Moly.”

Carnage’s 2019 Tour Dates:

08.16.19 – Nizhny Novgorod, Russia – Alfa Future People
08.18.19 – Pacos De Ferreira, Portugal – Citania Summer Fest

What Happens When An Artist Named Gunadi Refreshes Dubstep?

Published

on

By

Gunadi
Dubstep is getting a refresh today with ingenious artists like Gunadi. Nowadays, the genre includes a fusion of different tones, and the overall sound feels diverse. Well, a clear example is Gunadi’s new single “Why Does It Hurt?”. Indeed, you’ll soon realize it’s simultaneously melodic, chill and distorted. This track is proof he’s looking forward to the future.

Of course, Dubstep is not dead at all. On the contrary, new music festivals emerge as its rhythm evolves. Taking this into account, the American Producer based in Okinawa is ready to tear up the scene again reenergizing the wobbles we all enjoy. On top of that, he isn’t afraid of taking an easy-listening direction, that’s why he stands out from the rest. Remain alert over the next few months as he will finally unveil his first EP in which he experiments with Deep and Progressive House too.

Sludge Releases His Second Bone-Chilling Track “Emergency” On Heavyweight Records

Published

on

By

sludge
The newest bomb from Carnage’s Heavyweight Records comes from up-and-comer Sludge in the form of his single “Emergency”, and it’s one of the most intense tracks of the summer so far. From the moment the track opens with an ominous, dark beat and a bone-chilling voice demanding “Who shall be next?” It’s clear that Sludge is not for the faint of heart. He continues to deliver shocks to the system with serrating, mechanical synths, and blackout-inducing basslines complemented with sound effects that sound uncannily like human screams. “Emergency” was inspired by the bloody, dark times of Sludge’s parents living in Yugoslavia during its inner conflicts. “Emergency” follows Sludge’s recent release “Blacksmith” also on Heavyweight Records.

STREAM/DOWNLOAD

Iconic DJ and producer Carnage founded his label Heavyweight Records in 2017 as a home for hard bass and hip-hop music. Since then, the LA-based artist has gathered a formidable crew of cronies on the imprint, from the masked mastermind GRAVEDGR, Melbourne bounce frontrunner Will Sparks, trippy up-and-comer GOMMI, and now the sinister and dangerous Sludge. Sludge joins their prestigious ranks as a brand-new artist, with “Blacksmith” being his first release and “Emergency” his follow-up, and has set the stage to be one of the label’s premiere acts going forward.

Oliverse Releases Five-Track Experimental Bass ‘Outerworld’ EP

Published

on

By

Oliverse
At a time when Bass music is at its peak, it can be hard to find an original sound among the womps. Enter Oliverse, the young Producer who is forging his own experimental Bass sound with his newest EP, appropriately titled ‘Outerworld’. The five-track collection spans a variety of genre inspirations, from the electro, dubby and futuristic opener “My Vibe” to the ethereal vocals and melodic basslines of the sensual “Unspoken” ft. Elle. Oliverse employs the fusion of elements from Electro House, Future Bass, Dubstep and more to make his unique sound, which is sometimes brought to life with the synth-laden drops of “Parachute,” or the more cinematic and melodic outro track that gives the EP its name. No matter your taste on the bass spectrum, this EP has something for you. ‘Outerworld’ is out now on Disciple Records.

STREAM/DOWNLOAD

Ryan Oliphant – better known as Oliverse – was always destined for music. An emo kid at heart, the UK artist started playing guitar at a very young age, which eventually led to the exploration of producing music. In his earlier career, Ryan used multiple different aliases to create Dubstep primarily, but Oliverse was born in 2015 when he decided to shift his focus to a more experimental Bass sound. The talented youth quickly found his feet in the Bass scene and released his debut EP ‘Mountains’, which he quickly followed with his single “Hold It Down” alongside the highly anticipated remix from recurring collaborator, Tisoki, which earned a staple track status in Skrillex’s sets throughout the year. He’s also lent his high-energy, dynamic sound to remixes for Modestep, Emalkay, Dodge & Fuski. Since then, he’s earned the support of legendary artists including Excision, Getter, Borgore, and Diskord. As the ‘Outerworld’ EP demonstrates, Oliverse is just getting started, and he’s only going up from here. Keep an eye out for more from Oliverse coming soon!

Riot Ten Drops Dubstep & Hip-Hop Influenced ‘Hype Or Die: Sun City’ EP

Published

on

By

Riot Ten
They say everything is bigger in Texas, Lonestar state native Riot Ten proves this true for music as well with his new ‘Hype Or Die: Sun City’ EP. Out now on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records, the six-track EP hits hard out of the gate with the stabbing, robotic bass of “Los Pinches” and never stops, carrying through on tracks like the absolutely relentless, heavy-metal influenced “Ain’t Scared” with Pierce featuring Hashu and the hip-hop tinged “ShutYaMouth” with Foreign Suspects featuring Atarii. The EP’s closing track “Sun City” provides some respite from Riot Ten’s massive assault to the senses, serving as a well-needed breather after an adrenaline-inducing sonic experience. Riot Ten teamed up with 9 producers and singers/songwriters for “Hype Or Die: Sun City,” making for an all-star lineup of bass, hip-hop and dubstep names. To tie it all together, he’s preparing for the premiere event of his own “Hype Or Die” festival in his hometown of El Paso, Texas on May 31st. Get ready for a day of pulverizing basslines courtesy of Riot Ten himself with support by Bonnie x Clyde, PhaseOne, G-Rex, Moonboy and more. Get your tickets here while you still can!

STREAM/DOWNLOAD

Riot Ten is best known for his breakout single “Rail Breaker,” which held down a place on the Beatport Dubstep Top Ten chart for almost half a year and continues to be one of the most played out records in dance music over 2 years later. Even across genres, fans of The Chainsmokers will recognize Riot Ten’s “F*ck It” as the track they opened every show with on their massive “Memories Do Not Open” tour. After those early successes, the American producer dropped his debut EP with Dim Mak called “Hype Or Die: The Dead” in February 2018, recording a Top 10 debut on the iTunes Dance Album charts. Riot Ten followed up with a second EP “Hype Or Die: Genesis” to coincide with his 40+ city “Hype Or Die 2018 Tour,” selling out shows across the US in nearly every major market. Although he’s a gamer geek at heart, Riot Ten also knows how to throw a party, having performed live sets at popular festivals including Coachella, EDC, Electric Zoo, Nocturnal Wonderland, Lost Lands, and more. Keep an eye out for more new music and exciting appearances from Riot Ten coming later this year!
