are establishing themselves as an innovative band. Indeed, these guys merge two opposites genres, such as Rock & Hip-Hop music on their three-track EP ‘Different Side’. Normally, you wouldn’t imagine these rhythms fit so well together. Well, I fully realized all their tracks have certain things in common. For instance, you can expect slick rhymes, original raps, but also soaring vocals. In addition, inspired by the band’s Metal roots, you’ll also hear riff-heavy instrumentals and their signature rockish vibe. Therefore, I’m glad to know they found a creative way to incorporate these contrasting elements by breaking the mold and letting us experiment with them. Listen in full right here!

Canadian Duo Post Death Soundtrack Release Stunning Album ‘It Will Come Out Of Nowhere’

Album Review: Post Death Soundtrack - It Will Come Out Of Nowhere
Post Death Soundtrack
hail from Vancouver, Canada and they are known in the blogosphere as a unique duo who explore terrains of experimental music. Without a doubt, the ‘It Will Come Out Of Nowhere’ album reaffirms that. Perhaps, some of you might think each song features a bizarre structure as they combine their Industrial essence with non-traditional elements such as Trip-Hop, Ambient Psychedelia, and even Electronica. Best of all, you won’t get bored at all because they provide versatility. I would recommend this album only if you’re into dark music. I know in this blog we are used to uplifting happy rhythms, but sometimes we need to try new things. Anyway, this is the ideal time to do so. Don’t be afraid to discover a different kind of atmosphere backed with rich instrumentation. Check out my track-by-track review below.

1 — Chosen Sons Get ready for heavy sounds, harsh growls, and explicit lyrics. Of course, the energy levels are high as expected in a good album opener.

2 — Crumbs I’m enjoying this so far. Their heavy melodic style does not cease as well as the abrasive growls. However, this is also combined with clean vocals + insane drums and guitars.

3 — Dark Matter Taking influence from electronic music, this one clearly differs from the previous two tracks. Curiously, the song begins softly leading you to focus on the obscure verses, but it ends up very loud, which is sonically dynamic.

4 — Expect No Sympathy Believe it or not, this is the type of songs that help us to purge emotions like anger. I simply love its title, and the rest of it, which revolves around being free.

5 — Ripples In The Living Dream What a great Industrial-esque intro! Sincerely, this is my favorite track from this album. With intriguing atmospherics/synths it drives a non-stop beat till the end, add to this the fantastic guitars too. Perfection!

6 — Ramona Hills
You can expect a haunted cinematic sound, and probably this is the most Experimental tune I’ve ever heard so far. There are no vocals, just close your eyes and feel the chill out waves.

7 — Benediction This one is pretty different from the rest, due to its sonic oriental magnetism. I don’t know why I could easily associate this wonderful tune with a modern version of the dance of the seven veils. Authentic!

8 – Piercing The Veil There’s an eerie feel to it from beginning to end. Overall, this composition is channeling slow in tempo songs from the likes of Radiohead or Nirvana.

9 — Fallout Ideal for a trance-trip, I like the use of vocoders on this one, and there’s a transition from mellow to upbeat rhythms once again.

10 — Pathless Land Definitely, it keeps a cinematic/monotonous feel, lowering the vocals and avoiding the introduction of growls or the duo’s typical Metal fury.

11 — Bridge Burner The head-banging rockish nature of this track is beyond discussion. They fuse aggressive lines of Metal and Hardcore, providing listeners a breathtakingly ending.

A Feel-Good Jam Entitled “Only Love” By Pale Blue Dot

Pale Blue Dot
Today we have the privilege to enjoy a feel-good jam from one of the greatest bands in Charlottesville. I’m talking about Pale Blue Dot who are currently promoting “Only Love”. As a matter of fact, expect a singalong chorus and witness their phenomenal songwriting abilities. If you pay close attention to the lyrics, it refers to the power of LOVE, giving hope to listeners with its great message. Additionally, with acoustic guitar notes, this track evokes Rock sensibilities. Somehow, those 80s-style melodic drums reminded me of Duran Duran and U2. However, they innovate with dynamic male/female vocals. That said, I’m 100% sure you’ll listen to it on repeat.

Carolee Rainey Releases A Refreshing Spiritual Song “Sacrifice”

Published

Carolee Rainey
In the midst of a heavy saturated music market filled with electronic computer-based music, Carolee Rainey releases a thoroughly organic gem called “Sacrifice”. That said, you will expect an incredible guitar work, drums, and piano. Therefore, the whole process feels very natural. Undoubtedly, a true work of art, but what I like the most is the extraordinary vocal range, which reminds me of Stevie Nicks. Not to mention, her radiant songwriting abilities deserve our praise due to her lyrical storytelling style. After listening to it, you’ll wonder yourself if the decisions we make in our lives are choices or sacrifices…

Perhaps, the classic Rock/Folk influences give some classic vibes to it, but this is actually part of her fresh-from-the-oven EP, entitled ‘Hustle Up’. In fact, a few weeks ago she unveiled “Sacrifice” as the third single along with a romantic music video. You’ll simply love it! Carolee will be playing at Rockwood Music Hall on February 19th in NYC, so check out for updates on her socials below.

Definitely, this song is pure fire, and it is a pure Indie Rock gem, with some awesome melodies and amazing guitar tones. Somehow, it makes me think of bands like The Films or The Fratellis, but with a more hard-rocking vibe that almost makes me think of Taking Back Sunday, especially in the way the vocals have so much passion and intensity, making the song one of the catchiest on the album!

NYC Musician Taylor March Releases An Alternative Folk Rock EP

Published

Taylor March
NYC Musician Taylor March proudly releases a three-track EP, entitled ‘Kill Your Sirens’. Drawing on the artistic achievements he has been fortunate to play at the Mondo Music Festival & SoFarSounds NYC. Undoubtedly, this recent project allows him to put his name on the map of Alt Rock and Folk music. It’s really exceptional, to say the least, primarily because his voice is amazing and the lyrics are filled with interesting imagery. Therefore, I can’t pick a favorite, probably you will end up listening to this short EP over and over again… Scroll down to read my track-by-track review.

1 — Crystalize Lyrically, there’s deep introspection and eventually, Taylor draws conclusions on his loving relationship. Of course, his thoughts are crystal clear, he accepts his mistakes and prefers to leave his lover. On the other hand, soft and hard-hitting acoustics will keep Rock fans happy.

2 – Interlude The intro of this track is pretty long and he wants listeners to focus exclusively on its progressive nature. With the opening phrase, “If you didn’t come home to me last night”, a bit of drama and passion are part of this story. You can feel his emotions too.

3 – Thomas Its frenetic energy produced by the rockish guitars and intense instrumentation is still an enjoyable experience. Furthermore, I like the way he sings directly from his heart. We will never know who is Thomas, but everyone should be captivated with his storytelling abilities.

Overall, the ‘Kill Your Sirens’ EP is one of his best works to date, so stay tuned for new tracks in 2019.
