Miami-based artist PLS&TY released his chill, groovy single “Rebel Love” back in December which peaked at #1 on US iTunes Electronic Charts, and now it’s received a funky, dubby remix by Dubstep don Rusko. While the original version feels like warm honey mixed with molten bass, Rusko’s remix picks up the pace with heavier bass, grimy synths, and a subtle drum & bass influence. With these dancefloor-friendly elements, the “Rebel Love” remix is bound to be circulating clubs and festival stages this year. The release of “Rebel Love” follows PLS&TY’s breakout sensation “Good Vibes,” the bliss-inducing track that put him on the map of mainstream success; the new high-profile remix only hints that the young producer has a lot more up his sleeve for 2019. For now, press play on Rusko’s remix of “Rebel Love” and let this wavy tune take you away.
Tommy Leas, better known as PLS&TY says, “Rusko was one of the artists that sparked my obsession with electronic music many years ago. He was also one of the first electronic artists I saw perform live. Rusko remixing my work is undoubtedly an honor.” Tommy is burgeoning into the future bass scene with his unique sound: languid bass, captivating vocals and enough upbeat melodies to make anybody feel good. After landing a licensing deal with Universal Music Group for “Good Vibes,” the track topped the iTunes charts in multiple countries, including the #1 position on the iTunes US Electronic Charts. Combined with multiple television successes, such as his remix of Genevieve’s “Colors” in Hershey’s “Hello Happy” TV commercial and his track “Run Wild” being featured as the theme song for Canadian reality TV show “Occupation Double,” PLS&TY has officially proven himself as one to be watched. PLS&TY has made it clear he has a collection of music ready for our ears in 2019, alongside upcoming festival performances at Electric Forest, Shaky Beats, Summer Camp, Backwoods, Firefly, and more. Keep an eye out for more soon from this exciting up-and-comer.

Jarvis Unleashes His #BringBackBrostep Movement With Bass-Driven Floor Stomper “Reborn”
Just weeks after dropping his pulverizing bass bomb “Death Rave”, Jarvis is back and sending a message to the world with “Reborn”, the second single from his upcoming ‘The Bro Code’ EP. Comprised of robotic synths, stabbing basslines, and digitized melodies that sound as if they came straight from a dystopian video game, “Reborn” exemplifies the very type of music Jarvis is trying to revitalize: the aggressive yet melodic, frenetic and high-energy bass music known as Brostep. The British producer believes the genre is more than due for a comeback, and he’s established himself as the leader of its rebirth with the founding of a “Bro Code” with legions of bros ready to assemble to his calling. Check out “Reborn” to experience Jarvis’s distinctly gut-wrenching basslines; you may just want to become an official BroCode member yourself.
Since the summer of 2015, Jarvis has been making waves with his dynamic, bass-driven and foot-stomping sound. Throughout his years as an artist, he’s experienced a transformation he describes as a phoenix, rising from the ashes of the sounds of old to reveal his new sonic mission: reviving the Brostep movement. Armed with the hashtag #BringBackBrostep and a list of commandments for every brostep lover to live by called the #BroCode, Jarvis is amassing a loyal following of listeners just as devoted to the early-Skrillex-era music as he is. The #BroCode spans a myriad of unspoken rules between bros, touching on everything from DJ etiquette to fashion do’s and don’ts to rave rules. Open to all genders, colors, shapes, and sizes, Jarvis means to use the #BroCode to unite the scene in these divided times, bringing people together to enjoy the universal religion that is electronic music. Keep tabs on Jarvis’s upcoming EP, set to be released in May, and follow him for the latest Brostep news and music!

Shadient Releases “Medination”, Third Single From Upcoming ‘Divide’ EP
After teasing listeners with “Abberate” and “Numbers Station” earlier this month, Shadient showcases his impeccable sound design with his deepest, darkest release yet in the form of “Medination”. Opening with the ominous, goose-bump inducing tick of a monstrous clock, the track sets a menacing tone from the start. Shadient then unleashes an array of stabbing synths and rumbling basslines in constant succession. “Medination” is the third release from the British producer’s upcoming EP Divide, which will be released on NGHTMRE & SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations. With one final track left to drop, Shadient is getting ready to unleash his talents full-force upon the world.
Since his invention in 2015, Shadient has been pushing the boundaries of electronic music. “From the get-go, it was this world of ideas I had rushing into my head of metallic and industrial imagery, dark visual aspects and noise and bass leaning music,” he says. “Some of my more primary influences initially were Gesaffelstein, Boys Noize, and Aphex Twin. Very minimalistic and dark European techno artists, but I always felt that palette could be explored more musically.” Shadient’s forward-thinking approach to production has earned him loyal support from artists like Porter Robinson, who has also become a good friend and even once gave Shadient $3000 to purchase a laptop so he could finish his album. Shadient’s recent releases “COLLIDER” and “winter=reality”, were signed to Mat Zo’s label Mad Zoo and he also did an official remix for RL Grime. Stay tuned for Shadient’s next single and Divide EP coming out soon on NGHTMRE & SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations!

Sullivan King Gives Iconic Lyrics A Rock & Bass Makeover On New Track “Save The World”
With his new track “Save the World”, LA-based artist Sullivan King puts a Rock and Dubstep-influenced spin on some of dance music’s most iconic lyrics. Although hard rock instrumentals and growling, dubby basslines aren’t necessarily what comes to mind upon hearing the title, Sullivan pulls it off flawlessly; the result feels entirely original with the only the very slightest sense of deja vu, guaranteed to send listeners into a frenzy when the track reaches its hedonistic apex. Sullivan King – who plays the guitar instrumentals in the track, sings, writes, and produces all of his own tracks – reflects on his inspiration for “Save the World” below.
“One of the first electro house tracks I heard was Knife Party’s remix of SHM’s ‘Save The World’ which was definitely a massive part of my intro into early 2010’s dance music. For years I wanted to find a way to make that song my own for live shows. I don’t play a lot of super well known Top 40 dance songs so when I end up throwing something like this in a set, I love giving it my own take. I toyed with ideas for this for over a year and wasn’t ever really jazzed on any of it. The day before the first show on this year’s Apex Tour with Excision, I wanted to bring something different into my sets. I finished this in about 3-4 hours and drove to Las Vegas for a show the next morning to test it out.”
Sullivan King is not about playing by the rules. The 24-year-old artist has made it his artistic work to found the “metalstep” sound, a fusion of the influential bands of his youth and the avant-garde, ever-evolving world of electronic music. King grew up listening to rock bands like From First to Last, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine, and Metallica, finding a sweet spot in crossing those elements with sophisticated sound design and heavy-hitting basslines. His unique music production style has helped him stand out from his peers and gain support from prolific tastemakers like The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, Excision, Zeds Dead and more. “Save the World” follows Sullivan King’s “The Demented” (Kannibalen Rec.) and 2018’s “I’ll Fight Back” (Monstercat), “Shake The Ground” w/ Snails, Kill The Noise (Slugz Music); “Dropkick” (Kannibalen) and “Wake Up” w/ Excision. Stay tuned for more new music coming soon from this exciting and multi-talented young artist!

GRAVEDGR Releases Sinister First Single Of 2019, “KAMIKAZE”
The masked menace GRAVEDGR returns to Carnage’s Heavyweight Records with “KAMIKAZE”, his first release of the year. As if to remind the world that he’s very much still alive, GRAVEDGR seems to have outdone himself with this one, even by his own heavy-hitting standards. “KAMIKAZE” delivers bone-shaking basslines and serrating synths, its drop a cacophony of thunder and lightning, with intermittent quiet periods in which the listener is almost lulled into a false sense of security before GRAVEDGR unleashes the next wave of his menace. If “KAMIKAZE” is any indication, GRAVEDGR is back and more sinister than ever, so stay tuned for more new music coming soon.
Take one look at GRAVEDGR, and it’s easy to see where his name comes from – regularly donning black attire and his signature face mask, it’s no surprise that his day job is literally digging graves. All the time spent contemplating mortality must have inspired his musical sound, which can be summed up as simultaneously scary, melodic and hard. Having made his debut performances during insane, sold-out shows at LA’s El Rey and Belasco theatres or Bassmnt Nightclub this summer, this mysterious character also seems to have a knack for creating catchy music that always works the crowd into a frenzy. “KAMIKAZE” follows his wildly popular, debut single “RAMPAGE,” which has amassed over 6 million streams on Spotify alone, as well as follow-ups “JESSE JAMES” and “BE WARY.” GRAVEDGR has already inspired a cult following, and we look forward to seeing what he has up his sleeve next.
