The release follows up Marc Benjamin’s hot streak from 2018, which included the electro-house club track “Blaster” and the melodic, R&B influenced “Devil in Disguise” and “Unbreakable Hearts.” There’s only one way to find out what this dynamic maestro has up his sleeve next – follow Marc and Protocol Recordings for all the latest news!
Nicky Romero and the Protocol crew can always be counted on for cutting-edge new music, melding a variety of genres for exciting and unexpected sounds. Their new additions feel right at home with that mantra, bringing a medley of trap, future bass, and R&B to the imprint’s already robust mix while still pumping out plenty of classic progressive jams. Veteran producer Marc Benjamin has a reputable taste for impeccable productions, evidenced in his past successes with his previous collaborations with heavyweights Laidback Luke, Benny Benassi, and Yves V, and his remixes of Zedd’s worldwide hits “The Middle” and “Happy Now.” He’s performed around the world, including Ultra Bali and a 5-year residency at Amsterdam’s club Escape, and releases on Spinnin’ Records and Steve Angello’s Size Records. Benjamin’s dynamic productions have piqued the attention of industry heavyweights like Tiesto, Zedd, Martin Garrix, Steve Angello and Avicii, so we can’t wait to see what comes next from him as part of the Protocol family!

Mosimann and Leandro Da Silva bring the heat with their new release “Horizon”, a unique Progressive and Big Room fusion that is guaranteed to be heard at many clubs and festivals around the world this summer. The French Producer and Italian-Brazilian artist combine their cultural and artistic styles through bouncy, driving basslines, sweeping melodies and tribal elements that make “Horizon” feel both familiar and exotic. It’s the perfect track to be dancing to during an open-air set while the sun goes down and the party is turning up. Listen To Sophia Shy’s Good Powerful Vocals On True Heater, “First Time”
GRAB YOUR COPY
Under the impressive production skills of Pontus, the one and only Sophia Shy wrote and sang a true heater entitled “First Time”. She lends her good powerful vocals to the Progressive House melody and pulsating bass like never before. At the same time, I think both artists complement each other with their own talents. Leaving their mark on the Swedish label Wolfrage Recordings, I hope this is not the last time DJs can count with their bangers. Essentially, this tune works pretty well for club sets. On a side note, Sophia teased her fans with an anime-inspired video snippet of her new single, and I can confirm it looks epic! Meanwhile, you can stream the instant crowd favorite via Spotify down here.

Maximals & PØP CULTUR Release Groovy Progressive House Track “All Of Me”
Protocol Recordings veterans Maximals teamed up with fellow Italians PØP CULTUR for their seventh release on the label with “All Of Me”, an uplifting Progressive House track with plenty of their signature groove. Maximals have made a name for themselves on an energizing, modern sound, which “All Of Me” delivers in the form of effervescent basslines, a catchy vocal hook, and sunny Pop melodies. This summertime-appropriate new release follows their recent remix for Nicky Romero and David Guetta’s hit “Ring the Alarm” and their “Up & Down” EP with Boothed. The Protocol family has always been about helping talented young artists gain exposure and welcome PØP CULTUR, who have also released on Spinnin’ Records and Future House Music, with this debut on the label.
Founded by Nicky Romero, Protocol Recordings is one of the leading imprints for innovative House music; it boasts a roster of heavy-hitters complemented with immensely talented up-and-comers, all with a diverse range of sounds that are guaranteed to light up a dance floor. Among them are Maximals, the Italian duo who are inspired by the atmosphere of dance music in the ’70s and ’80s. Their style is evident in the lighthearted vibes of their tracks, such as “My Best” and their hit “Fall in Line” featuring Nino Lucarelli, which was featured in the Ultra Miami 2017 official after movie. Last year, Maximals remixed Raiden and K-Pop star YURI’s “Always Find You,” making for yet another stellar example of teamwork by Protocol artists. Keep an eye out for releases from Maximals and PØP CULTUR coming later this year!

Nicky Romero & Florian Picasso Team Up For Uplifting, Progressive House Anthem “Midnight Sun”
Protocol Recordings label head Nicky Romero and powerhouse veteran Florian Picasso have teamed up for “Midnight Sun”, a Progressive House anthem that will make your soundtrack to the upcoming festival season. Drawing from both Nicky’s progressive melodies and uplifting vocals as well as Florian’s signature, groovy instrumental sounds, the track evokes feel-good, carefree vibes that will last long after its final notes. “Midnight Sun” draws to a big-room crescendo at its drop, making for a guaranteed dance floor smash that you’ll be hearing played out at every festival on your list. Check out what the guys have to say about their second collaboration, as they’ve already worked together in 2017 on “Only For Your Love”:
“Working with Florian is always a pleasure, and we have a ton of fun in the studio. From the moment we started on this record I knew it was special and it all finally came together when we connected in Miami for Ultra. I’m hoping the fans will love it as much as we do.” – Nicky Romero
“‘Midnight Sun’ has a lot of my own style, but Nicky took it to the next level and really helped the record to get to its full potential.” – Florian PicassoSTREAM/DOWNLOAD
Nicky Romero has quickly progressed from a young musical prodigy to one of the most prolific names in modern dance music. He is not only a talented DJ and producer but also the label mogul of Protocol Recordings and a mentor to the up-and-coming artists whose careers he helps to cultivate. Romero has both high-profile originals and hit collaborations with artists including Avicii, Calvin Harris, NERVO, ZEDD and more. His latest releases have spanned the spectrum of electronic music, including his recent “Ups & Downs” with W&W, “Ring the Alarm” with David Guetta, dance/pop cross-over “Sometimes” with DallasK, featuring XYLØ, and remixes for Martin Garrix and Jess Glynne. Through the constant evolution of his sound and reinvestment in emerging artists, Nicky has proved his ability to evolve with the ever-changing landscape of electronic music. Nicky’s collaboration with Florian Picasso takes us back to the roots of the prominent progressive sound.
Florian is synonymous with a high-octane style of dance music that focuses on larger-than-life, unrelenting riffs and raw textures and is squarely focused on the dancefloor. It’s evident from the perfect company he keeps in his release schedule that he’s an artist with high standards and one whose output is piquing the interest of electronic music’s uppermost elite. After being a good friend of Martin Garrix’s for some time, Florian collaborated with the young superstar to produce the massive Make Up Your Mind: a turbo-charged, glitchy, rowdy slice of electro house. The track received over 2M plays in just three weeks after release, cementing Picasso’s rapidly rising status and introducing him to a vast new audience in the process. Above all, though, he’s staying grounded through all this success.
