One of electronic music’s most decorated veterans teams up with a promising up-and-comer in the form of Thomas Gold and Kosling‘s meaningful new single “Wildest Dream” on Protocol Recordings. The track draws from the golden-era progressive anthems of the early 2010s with soaring melodies and uplifting progressive basslines, featuring vocals by Matthew Steeper. Matthew’s soulful voice flawlessly delivers meaningful and inspiring lyrics that touch upon the naivete and boundless optimism that is youth’s greatest gift; it takes us right back to the most meaningful moments of young adulthood and serves as a reminder that it truly is never too late to chase your “Wildest Dream”. Thomas Gold last released on Protocol with his remix of Nicky Romero’s “Rise” in 2018 and “Never Alone” with Deniz Koyu in 2015, while Kosling makes his debut on the label with “Wildest Dream”. Press play on this powerful track for a trip down memory lane.
Over the last decade, Thomas Gold has become one of the most well-known dance music producers of his time. The German artist solidified his influence in 2008 when his now-iconic remix of Delirium’s “Silence” was named Beatport’s “Best Progressive House Song” of the year. Gold went on to release on major labels including Armada, Axtone, Size, Toolroom, Spinnin’ and Revealed; his crowning success thus far has been “Magic” on Armada has over 55M streams on Spotify. His electrifying abilities as a live performer have earned him a global following and headlining gigs everywhere from festivals like Ultra, EDC, Coachella, Mysteryland, and Tomorrowland, and clubs such as Pacha, Ushuaia, Amnesia and more. Recently Gold collaborated with Instagram influencer Montana Tucker on “Begin Again,” and now returns to Protocol with “Wildest Dream.” Keep an eye on what’s next for Thomas Gold and Protocol in 2019!

The Brig Remixes Agent Green’s “Sixteen” And It Sounds Like A Wild West In Space
Just a few days ago, Russian music producer The Brig polished a gem of Hip-Hop called “Sixteen”, this single is taken from Agent Green’s latest album, ‘Colossal’. Both the original and the remix stand out for its Wild West-themed sound. Nevertheless, the new version adds a dancey flavor, plus a futuristic feel to it. The Brig is probably known because of his collaborations with the likes of Chime, Michael White, Trinergy, & more. Certainly, one of his most successful works to date is “Take A Fall” with Rob Gasser & Ashley Apollodor.
Showcasing his vibrant signature style, The Brig wisely preserves the speedy rap flow on “Sixteen”. Jack Trades & Kayrae Express The Struggles Of A Bad Relationship With New Track “Sideways”
Canadian producer Jack Trades teams up with singer/songwriter Kayrae for their new single “Sideways”, an emotionally driven dance-pop crossover track that will be your “getting over it” anthem. The single infuses organic, breezy house melodies with chilling vocals, melding into a gently undulating bassline that feels both uplifting and melancholy at once. “Sideways” will resonate with listeners of both electronic and pop music who have ever had a hard time getting over someone. The track was inspired by both Jack and Kayrae’s experiences in past relationships, and the realization that sometimes the most powerful move is to truly let go. The two artists explain more about the meaning behind the new single below:
“Sideways to me is a very special song because Kayrae and I wanted to write something real and relatable in relationships. We all deserve to be happy, and it is important to recognize that and how we should truly learn to let go, if required. The lyrics of the song truly touches on what one is really going through inside but having a hard time expressing it.” – Jack Trades
“This song comes to me from personal experience where I have been in a bad relationship, stuck, not knowing where to go and hoping that one day it will all work out. It was easy during the writing process because everything just flowed and came very naturally.” – KayraeSTREAM/DOWNLOAD
Jack Trades made his debut on the scene in 2017 and has since made a name for himself with his brand of easy-listening, melodic dance-pop crossovers. With singles on Thrive, Armada, and official remixes for Adam K & Soha, Dropgun, and Late Night Alumni, Jack has a strong start to what promises to be a very long career. BONNIE x CLYDE Drop Urban Vocal Bass Tune “Curse” In The Midst Of Their “Bad Behavior” 2019 Tour
BONNIE X CLYDE return with their newest single “Curse”, a dark and sultry vocal bass track that draws inspiration from the duo’s hip hop rock music background. With its riveting guitar riffs, moody basslines, and BONNIE’s emotive vocals, “Curse” weaves a compelling tale all the while providing plenty of energy for the dance floor. This single follows BXC’s September release “Bad Behavior.” Check out what BONNIE X CLYDE have to say about their inspiration for “Curse” below:
“Inspiration for this song sonically came from our background of loving hip hop, rock, and electronic music. Heavy guitar riffs, lots of bass, lots of vocal chops/vocal manipulation. It was also inspired by the thriller movies we love to watch. We envisioned a girl in the backseat of a car while a man drives up to the top of a lookout point with the moon bright over a 50s style car but things go wrong when the man turns evil and the girl falls victim. She’s looking through the rearview mirror, back at herself wondering if being in this position is worth all of the emotions she is going through. The song is a journey of becoming aware of the energy you want to have around you. It’s dark but uplifting, and intense but sultry.” – BONNIE X CLYDE
Dynamic producing and vocalist duo BONNIE X CLYDE have mastered the golden formula of creating music that is both emotionally riveting and dancefloor friendly. Their signature “vocal bass” combines BONNIE’s gorgeous voice with their melodic basslines and forward-thinking production. With new music and their “Bad Behavior” 2019 Tour underway, BXC have an exciting future ahead of them. Stay tuned to see what is next for this unstoppable duo.
