Just a few weeks after NGHTMRE and A$AP Ferg released their outstanding collaboration “REDLIGHT”, the ace of bass himself has just released a special VIP remix of the track that was well worth the wait. With the addition of mechanical, grinding basslines and gunfire-reminiscent sound effects, NGHTMRE amps up the already-heavy single for those peak late-night hours when you need a little something extra. The signature VIP remix follows the original “REDLIGHT,” as well as “BANG” with Shaquille O’Neal and Lil Jon. NGHTMRE started off 2019’s festival season on his A-game with a Gud Vibrations headline performance with SLANDER at Ultra Music Festival’s Main Stage as well as a b2b with Big Gigantic as Gigantic NGHTMRE, the first of what will surely be many notable shows this summer. Stay tuned for more new music coming soon!
NGHTMRE has evolved into a real force of nature over the last several years – between hit collaborations, originals and the launch of his own label, the LA-based artist has earned his position as one of bass music’s leading faces. He recently collaborated with Wiz Khalifa and PnB Rock on “TTM” and has teamed up with heavyweights like Zeds Dead, Dillon Francis, Big Gigantic and The Chainsmokers. NGHTMRE’s dynamic, always dancefloor-friendly sound and fast-paced, exhilarating live sets have earned him a loyal fanbase, resulting in a packed tour schedule that has included a Hakkasan Las Vegas residency, Lollapalooza (Chicago, Paris, Berlin, Brazil) EDC (Las Vegas, Orlando, Mexico, Tokyo), Electric Zoo, Mysteryland, Creamfields, Amnesia Ibiza, Shambhala, Middlelands, Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, Holy Ship!, and Tomorrowland, as well as his own Gud Vibrations multi-event series with SLANDER. Through collaborations like “REDLIGHT” and his own experimental style, NGHTMRE is forging the way for a new sound of music to take over the world.
Hailing from NYC’s Harlem neighborhood, rapper A$AP Ferg launched his debut album Trap Lord in 2013 and his follow up album Always Strive and Prosper in 2016, with both showcasing an artist unafraid to take his craft to thrilling new places. His latest project, 2017’s Still Striving mixtape, was no different: it’s simultaneously a reflection on Ferg’s artistic journey thus far and a project that has its finger on the future’s pulse. The mixtape featured his triple platinum single “Plain Jane” among other hits. In addition to his solo career, A$AP Ferg is part of the hip hop collective A$AP Mob. Although rapping one of his main passions, he is a successful business owner, entrepreneur and painter.

NGHTMRE Brings On Lil Jon & A$AP Ferg During His Performance At Coachella, Presents “The Orb”
While NGHTMRE is no stranger to playing massive stages, his performance at Coachella’s Sahara Stage marked his most notable performance yet. After hinting at surprise guests and a brand new stage production via an Instagram post over the weekend, anticipations were high at the half-domed, dusty Sahara when NGHTMRE took to the decks at 11PM. Amid his own original favorites, it was revealed who his mystery guests were as he was joined by two of the biggest legends in Hip-Hop: Lil Jon and A$AP Ferg. Fans were treated to an all-star show as Lil Jon performed classic party anthems “BANG” and “Shots”; A$AP Ferg threw down “REDLIGHT,” “Plain Jane” and his “Work REMIX.” The hard-hitting bass and a heavy dose of hip-hop combined with NGHTMRE’s new stage called “The Orb”, which will be featured in his tour this fall, made for an unforgettable night.

Underground Trap Stars Pay Homage To The “Balaclava”
Despite its explicit lyrics, underground Trap stars Pure and Papi release a music video for their smashing single “Balaclava”. The direction they take in terms of sound revolves around a gloomy percussion, dramatic basslines, and menacing drums. Somehow, these British artists pay homage to this type of headgear used today by good and bad guys. It really doesn’t matter if this item is made from silk, cotton or polypropylene. After all, their identities will remain a mystery at least in the clip below.
Returning to the subject of this review, the concept of this tune is obviously dark, but I prefer not to talk about that aspect. On the contrary, I would like to highlight their dynamic rapping style. Armed with their wits, they have no fear to express what they want, plus, their rebellious attitude makes justice to the whole composition. Without further ado, if you’re a sucker for clever rhymes, you’ll like their offering.

Bellorum Unleashes Four Festival Bangers On Barong Family — ‘The Giant’ EP
DJ/Producer Bellorum was born in France, music has been an essential part of his life since childhood. If you haven’t heard of him yet, I promise you will like his Trap/Future Bass style. Particularly, ‘The Giant’ EP sounds amazing. In my opinion, this material captures the feeling every festival-goer has when they are experiencing an adrenaline rush that comes from the bass + the heavy drops. With an earworm of a hook, DJs can use these bangers for the next festival season. Incredibly, all these four tracks have one thing in common, and that would be, its intriguing sound design. Party Favor Teases An Evolved Sound On New Track “Reach For Me” With graves
Growth, in many ways, is a function of both shedding old skins and the inward exploration of the many identities that make us who we are. LA-based artist Party Favor expresses this complex process throughout his upcoming debut studio album ‘Layers’, scheduled to release in April, and its stunning premier track “Reach For Me”, in collaboration with graves. “Reach For Me” delivers a solid dose of Party Favor’s signature hard-hitting bass, but its subtle sophistication comes through in cinematic synths and sweeping melodies, all accompanied by haunting vocal samples. If this is any indication of the rest of the album, Party Favor is ready to reveal a more mature, diverse sound and a whole new side – or many – of himself to the world. “Reach For Me” is out via Party Favor’s Area 25 as the label’s first release of the year.
With one of the most diverse and accomplished resumes in the industry as a DJ, producer and boundary-pushing artist, Party Favor is a true force of nature.
