QUIX Unleashes Emotive Trap Tune “Guiding Light” Feat. Sanna Martinez

Published

on

QUIX
Showing off his versatile production style once again, New Zealand’s QUIX showcases Sanna Martinez‘s silky vocals on a tension building intro before unleashing a gargantuan multi-layered Trap drop on the Dim Mak single, “Guiding Light”. The single follows QUIX’s recent Dim Mak releases “Berserk,” “Stronger” and his breakthrough ‘Illusions’ EP. Through expertise precision, “Guiding Light” explores the balance of light and dark, contrasting the airy elements of Martinez’s vocals over a heavy, reverberating soundscape. QUIX’s third single of the year arrives after non-stop touring since March. This year the Kiwi has headlined venues across North America and Australia, with no signs of slowing down.

Hailing all the way from New Zealand, QUIX initially traveled to North America in 2017 for 10 shows and finished up doing an astonishing 42. He has been tearing up the trap scene ever since, continuously shaking the new ground with his unique sound design. Coming off three headline tours in 2018, including Coachella and support on Steve Aoki’s Kolony tour, QUIX had a break-out year with his “Illusions EP” on Dim Mak, shaking the world’s largest playlists and crowds alike. The eclectic six-track EP pushed the boundaries of electronic music, showcasing QUIX’s diverse range of skills and ingenuity. It has racked up millions of plays and creatively merged genres with powerful vocals while staying true to QUIX’s signature sound. He has also been honored by Spotify to feature on the cover of their two biggest international dance playlists, “Mint” and “Dance Rising.” QUIX has released on labels including Dim Mak, OWSLA and Mad Decent. With more collaborations on the way with The Chainsmokers, Alison Wonderland, Adventure Club and Baauer, definitely keep an eye out for this Kiwi producer as he continues to tear up the electronic music scene.

Two dons of Dubstep and Hard Trap (respectively), Riot Ten and SAYMYNAME team up on “Glocks”, a hyper-charged single featuring Milano the Don. Showing no mercy on the track, these two festival regulars produce stadium-booming drops and hype energy, uniting rail-breakers around the world.

“SAYMYNAME and I go way back. We’ve watched each other grow from basically day 1 and it’s been nothing but love and support. I’d honestly say this collab is about 5 years in the making, so to finally have something coming out is exciting. Due to our storied history, I can see this being one of the most anticipated of the year.” – RIOT TEN

“One of the hardest collabs! Riot Ten is a real one, and a good homie of mine. We wanted to give our fans something special, and I’m so hyped we got together on this huge record.” – SAYMYNAME

“Glocks” is the first single from Riot Ten’s upcoming debut studio album, Hype or Die: Nightmares, due out this September 13th via Dim Mak. The new material follows his Hype Or Die: Sun City EP and months of heavy touring, which included stops at EDC, Paradiso, Electric Forest and Global Dub Festival at Red Rocks. When he wasn’t on the road, Riot Ten was home in Texas organizing events for his local community. In the wake of this summer’s devastating events in El Paso and Dayton, Riot Ten teamed up with Nazaar to produce the 915 Strong charity concert, raising nearly $20,000 for the families of recent victims. Riot Ten’s Hype or Die 2019 Tour continues this weekend at Electric Zoo.

Joining Riot Ten on the heavy-hitting single is HARDTRAP pioneer SAYMYNAME. The Los Angeles-bred artist has had a monumental 2019, joining the likes of DJ Snake, The Chainsmokers, Fisher, and Major Lazer as one of Wynn Nightlife’s latest resident DJs. His summer was highlighted by gigs at Audiotistic and an insane EDC, where he performed three sets, including closing out Cosmic Meadow b2b with 4B. Fans can catch him this weekend at Electric Zoo and at Shaq’s Bass All Stars Official EZoo Afterparty.

4B Releases Trap & Hardstyle-Influenced Track “Told You” On Ultra Records

Published

4B
4B
makes his return on Ultra Records in the form of a brand new heavy-hitting single “Told You”, serving as an epic announcement of his forthcoming ‘Explosive’ EP. “Told You” delivers elements of trap and hardstyle in its percussion-heavy buildup and stabbing, driving basslines, rounded out with serrating synths and distorted vocals. It is a prime example of 4B’s party-ready, hard-hitting style – the same one that kicked off DJ Snake’s label Premiere Classe with “Whistle” in 2018. “Told You” follows 4B’s “Blackout” with Flosstradamus released this month, which was his debut on Ultra Records. Keep an eye out for new tunes and the full ‘Explosive’ EP coming soon!

Robert McKeon Jr., better known as 4B, may only be 26 years old, but he’s already been honing his musical skills for nearly half of his life. The American DJ and producer has relentlessly pursued his signature sound and vision, garnering support from some of the industry’s legends like Skrillex, DJ Snake, Diplo and Tiesto for his unique sound and meticulous production style. His trademark single was “Pop Dat” with Aazar in 2015; the track became one of the most played track songs of the year and topped over 12 million streams on Spotify alone, putting 4B firmly on the map as one to be watched in the dance music scene. Since then, he has remixed the likes of Fetty Wap’s “My Way” with Flosstradamus and DJ Snake’s “Middle.” 4B has also earned himself somewhat of a cult following from his electric live performances, which include his wildly popular set at EDC Las Vegas right before ZEDD, where he brought out Soulja Boy as a special guest. Bobby continues to evolve and mature as an artist, and we are excited to see what the next wave of his career brings.

Party Favor
is still riding the wave of hype and acclaim from his debut album ‘Layers’, and he’s back with another gift for fans – a package featuring rage-ready remixes from Duke & Jones, Wuki, J. Worra, Blanke, TroyBoi, BIJOU, Dabow, and YehMe2. Each features a unique spin on the original, with the overall influences drawing from bass, tech house, g-house and more. From the reverberating basslines and sinister sound effects on Duke & Jones’s remix of “Reach for Me” to TroyBoi’s hip-hop-influenced remix of “Wait A Minute” to the two dancefloor-ready remixes of “Wasabi,” the ‘Layers’ remix package has everything you need for a night out. With the release of ‘Layers’, Party Favor explored the many facets of himself as an artist, and we can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.

“Before I finished the ‘Layers’ album, I knew that I wanted to put together a remix pack for it. I’m so happy how they all turned out. So many talented people got to be a part of this, and I’m very grateful. All genres, all vibes and everything in between. Everyone did their thing. Smashes all around.” – Party Favor

With one of the most diverse and accomplished resumes in the industry as a DJ, producer, and boundary-pushing artist, Party Favor is a real force of nature. His music has helped the festival trap, and twerk scenes rise to sudden popularity in dance music, frequently blurring the boundaries between electronic, rap, reggae, and many other genres. In addition to multiple hit singles and a debut EP (feat. Gucci Mane, Rich the Kid, Dillon Francis) that reached #2 on iTunes Dance, #1 on US Dance Radio and #7 on Billboard’s Dance radio charts, the LA-based artist has worked as a producer for some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Lil Jon, 2 Chainz, Migos and A$AP Ferg. In case you can’t make one of his album tour dates, catch Party Favor at his residencies at Hakkasan Group (Hakkasan, Omnia, Wet Republic) in Vegas, E11even in Miami and Premier Nightclub in Atlantic City this year. 2019 thus far has been a massive transformation for Party Favor, and shedding all of these ‘Layers’ was just the beginning.

TroyBoi Releases Remix Of Party Favor’s “Wait A Minute” Ft. A$AP Ferg & Juicy J

Published

TroyBoi
London-born artist TroyBoi just dropped a remix of Party Favor‘s “Wait A Minute” featuring A$AP Ferg & Juicy J, as a part of Party Favor’s forthcoming remix version of ‘Layers’ album, scheduled for a release on August 15. TroyBoi, who recently collaborated with Skrillex on “WARLORDZ” and released his “V!BEZ, Vol. 3” EP on OWSLA, gives the hip-hop/electronic crossover track a trap makeover, incorporating mechanical synths and slow-mo basslines to serve as a backdrop for the original rap verses. No matter if you’re out for the night or simply jamming in your bedroom, this remix is sure to be a crowd favorite. The “Wait A Minute” remix follows Party Favor’s releases of an acoustic version of “Be OK” and remix version (remixes from BIJOU and Yehme2) of “Wave” featuring Lil Baby & Rich The Kid, serving as the teaser of the full “Layers” remix album coming later this month on Area 25. Party Favor released the original “Layers” debut album in April as his most personal and stylistically diverse piece yet. Keep an eye out for what’s next as Party Favor continues to build his empire!

BLVD. Self-Releases Hard-Hitting Second Track “Full Send”

Published

on

By

Full Send
The world was introduced to BLVD. with his debut single “Crowd Control” back in May, and now the safety-yellow clad artist is back with his follow up “Full Send”. Every bit as heavy and gritty as its predecessor, the new track delivers a hard-hitting dose of ominous basslines, jarringly mechanical synths and bone-shaking percussion. BLVD.’s unique approach to bass music centers on creating an atmosphere within every song, and in “Full Send” one can almost feel the concrete jungle locales where the artist takes his namesake from grittiness and grandiosity are the contrasting elements that BLVD. lives by. Take a listen to “Full Send” and join the BLVD. movement, one track at a time.

STREAM/DOWNLOAD

Boulevards are made of much more than stone, sand, gravel, and asphalt. At their essence, they are a culmination of a million journeys – so many individual steps, tires, waste, and grime – and yet they are enduring, through rain and snow and heat, and majestic in their ability to withstand all that humans and nature may throw at them. BLVD.’s music represents the beauty in grit through his heavy-hitting yet welcoming sound. Although not much is known about BLVD. to date, he’s already received support from influential artists such as Diplo & Friends, Alison Wonderland, RL Grime, 4B, Nitti Gritti, and Ekali. We can bet that “Crowd Control” and now “Full Send” are really only the beginning of something much bigger. Stay tuned for more music and news from BLVD. coming soon!
