TroyBoi
London-born artist TroyBoi just dropped a remix of Party Favor‘s “Wait A Minute” featuring A$AP Ferg & Juicy J, as a part of Party Favor’s forthcoming remix version of ‘Layers’ album, scheduled for a release on August 15. TroyBoi, who recently collaborated with Skrillex on “WARLORDZ” and released his “V!BEZ, Vol. 3” EP on OWSLA, gives the hip-hop/electronic crossover track a trap makeover, incorporating mechanical synths and slow-mo basslines to serve as a backdrop for the original rap verses. No matter if you’re out for the night or simply jamming in your bedroom, this remix is sure to be a crowd favorite. The “Wait A Minute” remix follows Party Favor’s releases of an acoustic version of “Be OK” and remix version (remixes from BIJOU and Yehme2) of “Wave” featuring Lil Baby & Rich The Kid, serving as the teaser of the full “Layers” remix album coming later this month on Area 25. Party Favor released the original “Layers” debut album in April as his most personal and stylistically diverse piece yet. Keep an eye out for what’s next as Party Favor continues to build his empire!

With one of the most diverse and accomplished resumes in the industry as a DJ, producer, and boundary-pushing artist, Party Favor is a real force of nature. His music has helped the festival trap, and twerk scenes rise to sudden popularity in dance music, frequently blurring the boundaries between electronic, rap, reggae, and many other genres. In addition to multiple hit singles and a debut EP (feat. Gucci Mane, Rich the Kid, Dillon Francis) that reached #2 on iTunes Dance, #1 on US Dance Radio and #7 on Billboard’s Dance radio charts, the LA-based artist has worked as a producer for some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Lil Jon, 2 Chainz, Migos and A$AP Ferg. In case you can’t make one of his album tour dates, catch Party Favor at his residencies at Hakkasan Group (Hakkasan, Omnia, Wet Republic) in Vegas, E11even in Miami and Premier Nightclub in Atlantic City this year. 2019 thus far has been a massive transformation for Party Favor, and shedding all of these “Layers” was just the beginning.

Game Day
BLVD.
is back with a new anthem just in time for the fall sports season, an energetic and heavy-hitting anthem appropriately titled “Game Day”. The new release draws upon classic instrumental rhythms reminiscent of opening music for sports matches, then infuses it with BLVD.’s signature traplike, gritty bass. He lays down drawn out, serrating synths and ominous basslines in the track’s drop, complemented with the much-loved vocal sampling of “Heeeey, hooooo!” that will raise goosebumps on any sports fan. “Game Day” follows BLVD.’s recent singles “Full Send” and “Crowd Control” as well as his remix to Benzi, Bhad Bhabie, Rich The Kid and 24hrs’ “Whatcha Gon Do.” A lifelong sports enthusiast himself, BLVD. explains his inspiration behind the new single:

“Sports have always been an essential part of my life, especially the theme of bringing people together, there’s nothing that encompasses this better than game days. They’re an amazing phenomenon that has transcended throughout generations. Music is always paired with game days, whether it be tailgate bangers or throwback classics. The world needs a strong new game day anthem to make them jump out of bed, I present to you, ‘Game Day.'” – BLVD.

Boulevards are made of much more than stone, sand, gravel, and asphalt. At their essence, they are a culmination of a million journeys – so many individual steps, tires, waste, and grime – and yet they are enduring, through rain and snow and heat, and majestic in their ability to withstand all that humans and nature may throw at them. BLVD.’s music represents the beauty in grit through his heavy-hitting yet welcoming sound. Although not much is known about BLVD. to date, he’s already received support from influential artists such as Diplo & Friends, Alison Wonderland, RL Grime, 4B, Nitti Gritti, and Ekali. As BLVD.’s music grows with each release, we can only bet that this is the start of something even bigger. Stay tuned for more music and news from BLVD. coming soon!

Carnage Joins Forces With Timmy Trumpet For Hardstyle & Trap-Influenced Single “Nah Nah”

Published

By

Nah Nah
For his next single back in the dance music game, Heavyweight Records head honcho Carnage teamed up with Australian producer Timmy Trumpet on their new track “Nah Nah”. This time Papi Gordo draws strongly upon hardstyle influences and fuses them with his signature festival trap style. Debuted on the Main Stage of Tomorrowland, this upbeat, euphoric track opens up with driving bass and plucky melodies before evolving into a hardstyle monster that will take no prisoners on the dance floor. Carnage’s latest track comes off the heels of his newly signed deal with UTA for representation across North/South America, Australia, and Asia. “Nah Nah” caters to Carnage and Trumpet’s specific brand of listeners, bass-minded individuals who never shy away from the grimiest, hardest sounds to be found at any given festival or club circuit. This is the second collaboration between the two formidable artists, who previously worked together on “Toca” in 2015 which has amassed over 50 million streams. Since then, Trumpet has made a solid impact on the scene with his energetic live performances, multi-platinum records, and sold-out venues across the globe.

Carnage has made a name through breaking the rules and staying true to himself. The Las Vegas-based artist established himself as the reigning champion of hard bass and trap music with early hits, later being one of the first artists to transition electronic music into hip-hop, rap and urban styles. Before launching his label Heavyweight Records in 2017, Carnage put out hit after hit such as “I Like Tuh” with ilovemakonnen, ‘Bricks’ with Migos, ‘Down for Me’ and ‘Guala’ with G-Eazy, ‘Homie’ with Meek Mill and Yung Thug, ‘Learn How to Watch’ with Mac Miller and MadeInTYO and ‘iShyne’ with Lil Pump. Heavyweight Records is a home for hard bass and hip-hop music. Since then, he has gathered a formidable crew of companions on the imprint, from the masked mastermind GRAVEDGR, Gommi, Sludge, Lil Texas, and more. After taking a break from music and touring in 2018 to focus on his mental health, Carnage dove right back into it with his hits “Letting People Go,” and “Wait For Me” with G-Eazy and Wiz Khalifa. In partnership with the RAICES foundation, the music video for “Letting People Go” raised awareness for immigrants at the US / Mexico border and retraced Carnage’s families voyage into America, as covered by TIME and dozens of other outlets. He also contributes his influence and time to this charitable causes close to his heart. Nonetheless, Carnage could not resist producing what he loves the most, bass music, and released ‘Blitzkrieg’, ‘Slot Machine’ and ‘Holy Moly’ all within a month. The ‘Holy Moly’ music video was declared a “Bloody Hysterical Short Film” by Billboard and now after being played out live by DJ Snake, Yellow Claw, Flux Pavillion, 12th Planet and many others have become some of the most hardest hitting tracks of 2019.
