Ahmed Spins and Ankhoï are heating up the summer with their new single “Mood,” a dancefloor-ready collaboration with powerhouse singer-songwriter Caroline Byrne and guitarist Neyl. Caroline’s credits include working with the likes of Ferreck Dawn (“Make Me Weak”), Gorgon City (“Run It Back” and “All That You Need”), LP Giobbi (“Forever And A Day”), Tudor (“Secrets”), to name a few, while Neyl’s recent release – “Onda,” has gained huge traction within the Dance community with plays from Keinemusik and his guitar performances with Francis Mercier have spanned from Coachella to clubs across the world.
After Ahmed’s triumphant return from a three-year hiatus alongside Elderbrook this spring, he has been lighting up stages at Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Forest, Ibiza’s [UNVRS] Opening Party, and more. On the other hand, Ankhoï is currently riding the wave of his latest and most streamed single to date – “Closer To The Floor,” with Jazzy, which they recently performed alongside one another at their Fête de la Musique pop-up party at the Eiffel Tower.
“Mood,” out July 4 via DHB Records, blends breathy, sun-drenched vocals with organic instrumentals, groovy melodies, and a flirty splash of Funk and Disco – capturing the same radiant energy that’s made it a fan favorite at Deep House Bible parties worldwide, premiered at the DHB event in front of the Giza pyramids in Egypt back in February.
Already a signature anthem for Ahmed’s and Ankhoï’s sets, “Mood” now gets its official release ahead of the label’s upcoming events. With a vibe like this, we guarantee you’ll have this track on repeat all summer long.
