Dropping with a bang through Never Say Die is a four-track EP of musical fireworks from Moroccan-born producer EH!DE. With his dynamite remix of F3tch and Spag Heddy’s ‘Spooks’ still firmly in mind, the ‘Cult’ EP is about to take center stage.
The razor-sharp “Bring That” opens with downright fire, all splintered riffs and a jagged bassline with bursts of vocal hype. Its title track offers a little more contrast at the start with atmospheric melodies and slowed beats, before gathering in low-end energy and maintaining its darkly powerful theme.
“Runnin” is a fully immersive dance-floor cut with bags of dynamics and fast-paced drum builds; peppered with unique drops in all the right places. Lastly comes “Bad Man”, again highlighting the musical diversity of EH!DE with its memorable vocal hooks and relentless drive.
