Brazilian maestro Alok just dropped the 6th installment of his ‘CONTROVERSIA Vol. 006′ compilation, which showcases the forward-thinking sound that the label represents right now. This time the album features 13 tracks, 8 of which are exclusive, never-released productions, coming from international talents, such as CONTROVERSIA’s very own Bhaskar, ÜHÜ together with startups like Capsm – a talented visually impaired artist, Nyella – who is the first female producer to have a solo single on the label, and rising Ukrainian artist Scott Rill. The sonic journey spans a myriad of genres, from the deep progressive opener “I Feel U” to emotive and ethereal like in Tineway & Ytan’s “Telling” and Modica’s eastern organic influenced “Don’t Stop.” What has to be also mentioned, CONTROVERSIA has just surpassed 1B Spotify streams on their catalog, achieving another milestone.
“The arrival of the 6th edition of the compilation and following the recognition that previous installments have received is a huge joy to me. The concept continues to meet our main objective, which is to maximize the reach and recognition of the Brazilian electronic music scene here in Brazil as well as abroad, giving space to a vast number of artists to create and present their music to wider audiences. With a lot of effort, today, Controversia’s releases are being presented weekly to millions of listeners around the world through the Controversia Radio Show, which was also recently featured as a label showcase on Tomorrowland’s OneWorld Radio. I had a great time plowing through the tons of demo submissions to pick the tracks and artists I currently like the most, so I hope you’ll enjoy the selection, which includes 8 exclusive productions you can hear only on the compilation.” — Alok
With a strong resume full of remixes and collaborations with artists such as The Rolling Stones to Zara Larsson, from Jason Derulo to Tove Lo, and more, Brazilian Alok has gained an immense international following and is currently having his global breakout moment. He already has the second-largest Instagram following of any electronic artist globally (over 27M), and his 20M devoted monthly listeners on Spotify have made him the most listened to Brazilian artist in the world. In 2021, he was named the 4th Best DJ in the world, according to the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll. In 2019, Alok was nominated for the International Dance Music Awards for his hit remix of the Meduza single “Piece of Your Heart,” and he also worked with global pop sensation Dua Lipa for the official remix of her hit single “Physical.” Recently he also collaborated with Grammy-award pop sensation John Legend on “In My Mind” and with renegade vocalist John Martin on “Wherever You Go” and lended his talents to remix Ed Sheeran’s “Shivers.” The sky is the limit for the Brazilian superstar.

ALWZ SNNY Makes Major Festival Debut At Moonrise
DJ and producer ALWZ SNNY made his major festival debut this past weekend as he opened up the main stage at Moonrise. The annual Insomniac event is held at Pimlico Raceway in Baltimore, Maryland, and attracts tens of thousands of fans from across the country. Some of the headliners this year included Tiesto, Rezz, and Excision.
The atmosphere inside the festival gates was electric, with three massive stages; Stellar Stage, Lunar Stage, and the Solar Tent. Stunning visuals were projected across the venue, and lasers were shooting as far as the eyes could see; other effects included CO2 and fire pyrotechnics that wowed the crowd. This was the first Moonrise Festival in 3 years due to Covid-19.
Not to our surprise, ALWZ SNNY’s fans turned out in droves as always. “Seeing the SNNY SQUAD in all their yellow & black show up early, happy, and ready to rave was incredible! I saw so many flags & totems with my face & logo on them. I know this is still just the beginning of the journey, but this was such a proud and memorable moment for me” commented ALWZ SNNY, who opened Stellar Stage.
“There is no doubt in my mind that I will be one of the headliners here in three years!”
ALWZ SNNY will be jumping back on stage at his annual SNNY NITES concert at The Original Cancun Cantina on October 21st. More details on that upcoming event will be made available soon at https://alwzsnny.com/.

Felix Samuel, LODATO, And Quando Collab On “You Can’t Make Me Come”
Rising talents Felix Samuel, LODATO, and Quando join forces for their new release “You Can’t Make Me Come,” a dance track with a cheeky twist, out now on the NFT-fueled Purple Fly record label. Opening with groovy melodies, the listener quickly becomes tuned into the story behind the lyrics; the deep, moody basslines add color to the story behind a partner who evidently didn’t quite satisfy. “You Can’t Make Me Come” is a playful track that hits equally whether in the club or on the radio. See below for more on the artists and inspiration behind this spicy new release!
“I received this topline from the writers and was really hooked on the satirical nature of the lyrics. With a groovy drop melody and slap house edit, this is one that can be enjoyed in a club or sweating away in the gym!” — Felix Samuel
Felix Samuel has certainly made a name for himself as an up-and-coming talent from the UK. With almost 3,5M monthly listeners on Spotify for his own artist project, his unique style and catchy melodies have established him as a serious songwriter and name within the scene. His music has already been played on fan-favorite TV shows, including “Strictly Come Dancing” and “Celebs Go Dating.” Having worked with the likes of vTujamo, Jonasu, Madism, Anthony Keyrouz, Wankelmut and MACKS (former frontman of Dante Klein), as well as releasing on some of the biggest dance labels in the world; 3Beat (Universal), Onesevenmusic/Disco:wax, NCS, Perfect Havoc and Heartfeldt (Sam Feldt’s label), the sky really is the limit for this young Brit.
LODATO is an American DJ, producer, and remixer from Queens, New York. Over the past 2 years, he has become one of the most successful artists at Dance Radio in the US, having had 4 #1 Dance Radio Airplay songs. Only David Guetta, Diplo, and Joel Cory have had 4 #1’s in that same time frame. LODATO’s original single “HOME” landed itself at #1 on the US Dance Radio Chart for 3 consecutive weeks, #1 on Sirius XM’s BPM’s “Top 20 Count Down” for 4 consecutive weeks, and #1 on the Billboard Dance/Mixshow Airplay Chart. In May 2020, LODATO’s original single “Good” followed the footsteps of his previous release and also found its way to #1 in the US on Dance Radio. LODATO’s remix of Dua Lipa’s “Break My Heart” was added to rotation on all the major U.S. Dance Radio Stations and has hit #1 in North America on iHeart’s RT30 countdown. In February 2021, LODATO’s “Good Thing” again topped the charts by making its way to #1 on Dance Radio, Billboard Dance/Top 40 Mixshow Airplay Chart, and Sirius XM’s BPM’s Top 20 Count Down. Just recently, “Neon Lights” topped the Dance Radio and Billboard Dance Mixshow Airplay Charts this past July with the #1 slot.

Blair Lee, the long-awaited project is a statement piece that defines their artistic journey over the years and the years of dedication they’ve poured into their craft.
“This album represents our entire journey working together, a journey that started ten years ago. Listening to the project in its entirety, you hear nuances of moments in our career that made us the artists we are today. The many lessons we learned along the way helped shape our music. Ten Years is a benchmark for our sound moving forward and the start of a new chapter in our lives, as humans and musicians.
Relationships with fellow artists have always been very important to us. We are very grateful to the amazing talent and new friends that chose to be a part of this project (Wrabel, Sad Alex, Saint Sinner, Geographer, Blair Lee). A special shoutout to our friend Johnny Mabie who helped co-produce the album in Joshua Tree 2020. Years ago in Chicago, we met Louis the Child and have been family ever since. Having a record with them on this project was so important to us and we are so proud of the result. Hope you enjoy the lead single “All This Motion w/ Louis the Child” and the rest of our debut album “Ten Years”. —Win and Woo
