1 — First of all, what motivated you to write a song about your hometown?

I had never heard anybody write a song about West Tennessee, and it’s a special place to me, so I wanted to show appreciation for my home and write a song that everyone from any hometown could enjoy and relate to.

2 — How would you describe the unique blend of Country and Pop elements in your music?

It creates smooth music that’s easy to listen to!

3 — What artists have influenced your sound to this day?

Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Kane Brown, and Rascal Flats.

4 — In your creative process, what measures do you take to ensure your songwriting remains authentic?

I just let it flow and the music comes out. I make adjustments to the melodies or lyrics as I go.

5 — Please share with us any memorable anecdote while shooting the video for “West Tennessee.”

We shot that in Alamo – my hometown. We hit a bunch of different locations that only locals would know. Places where I used to hang out and the hometown establishments.

6 — What do you hope listeners will take away from this single?

I hope they’ll be able to connect it to memories they have with their hometowns.

7 — With a growing following on TikTok, how has social media helped you connect with your fans?

It has helped me understand my audience more so I can give them the music they want to hear and talk to them directly via live stream.

8 — Do you think your vocal range allows you to explore different styles of music?

Yeah, but sometimes I have to lower the keys to fit my voice.

9 — What are your future plans for the rest of 2023?

More shows and my first EP is coming out!

10 — Finally, what’s the significance of music in your life, and how it has helped you navigate different stages?

Music has been an outlet for me to express my feelings and process all the things in my life I’ve gone through. It helped me to find a voice, not only in music but also for myself in life.
