Canadian Singer And Songwriter Allie X Delivers A Stunning Song

Published

on

Canadian singer and songwriter Allie X never stops amazing her fans. On this occasion, it’s with “Bon Voyage,” the latest single from her deluxe album, ‘Girl With No Face.’ The music video that goes with it is a masterpiece and has already racked up over 140,000 views!

Directed by Gemma Warren, the visuals feel like they’re straight out of a fantasy tale. Together with its weird dreamlike elements, it will hypnotize you from start to finish.

A Perfect Harmony of Acoustics and Synths

Allie X’s versatile and ethereal vocals are just as catchy as they were in her previous single, “Galina.” Likewise, it sounds so dope the way the acoustic guitars blend perfectly with the synthesizers.

Clearly, she embraces a dark melody on “Bon Voyage,” and it’s also one of the most original tracks the Canadian singer and songwriter has released in recent years. Besides that, you can tell Allie X loves the spirit of the 80s music era.

In fact, many critics describe her recent album as a mix of Kate Bush, Giorgio Moroder, and New Order. And I would dare to say she’s becoming part of the iconic Canadian musicians who have conquered the world.

Lyrics That Tell a Story of Change

On a side note, the lyrics of “Bon Voyage” talk about the beginning of a new era for the artist and the changes that come with it. Certainly, this can be interpreted by listeners as taking a step toward transformation, as if it were a journey.

Best of all, in her verses, she uses figurative language that plays with different aspects of nature. To put it another way, this Electro-Pop gem is pure poetry.

Allie X’s Weird World Tour will conclude this year in San Francisco, California, with shows on December 30th and 31st
