Chancius Delivers Indie Rock, Concept Album With Sci-Fi Twist

The second, groundbreaking release from Brooklyn based musician Chancius.

Chancius ‘Bando’ is an Alternative Rock concept album with a sci-fi twist. Envisioned as an alternative rock opera, the album tells the story of Bando, a young man afflicted with a life-threatening disease. In an attempt to save himself, he volunteers for an untested procedure to meld his consciousness with cutting edge technology. As his story unfolds, the ramifications of blending humanity with machinery are brought to life in sound.

And here’s my review – The album includes a total of 10 tracks.

1. Hold On – Somehow the first track reminds me of “Cars” by UK singer Gary Numan. It features a conventional rock rhythm section of bass guitars and drums. I like the vocal’s robotic style.

2. Making It Up As We Go Along – I’m loving the chimes at the intro, it’s almost impossible not to love this track. You will learn a new tong twister with it, lol.

3. Bando – A beautiful soft rock song. The piano calls to mind a melancholic sensation.

4. Pliers Donar – This track showcases Chancius as a fiercely accomplished musician, an original artist, and also an innovator of indie rock music.

5. A Piece Of You Wherever I Go  – A catchy tune, you feel like singing it at your house. It’s one of the best songs in the album in my opinion.

6. Chrysalis – It seems this short melody of 57 seconds was truly inspired by a Sci-Fi film or novel.

7. Time And Space Died Yesterday – Here’s another futuristic and modern indie rock track. The music here is once again outdone by Chancius’ creativity.

8. Big Wave – As we listen more tracks, we learn that Chancius is an adventurous artist who love to experiment with music in order to create cool indie rock tunes. This song is a clear example of it!

9. You’re Not One In A Million, You’re One Of A Million – This is a smooth track, perfect for relaxing or having a good time.

10. Hologram King –  Nice song, I heard interesting sounds from outer space! If you are a fan of the MGMT music, you’ll love Chancius.

11. Thunderhead –  Chancius vocals sound incredible here! He demonstrates a lot of talent from the beginning to the end.
