Cityzen is quickly making a name for himself – not only for his sparkling glasses and all-red-everything attire but also for his ability to throw down some dirty dancefloor grooves. His newest track “Rock Paper Scissors” is just that, a driving house record with plenty of shaking bass and bounce that will have crowds in a frenzy all over the globe. Cityzen has a dynamic sound that pendulates from tech-house to electro and back again, blurring into one unique sonic journey that mirrors his own ability to transcend time and space. “Rock Paper Scissors” comes hot on the heels of his recent release “Unicorns on a Rocket Launcher,” which will quite literally launch you into a different galaxy. The new release is out on CYB3RPVNK, Cityzen’s home-away-from-home in this dimension. Keep an eye out for more new party-starting music coming soon!

Although not much is known about Cityzen yet, we can be extremely positive about three noticeable attributes: his affinity for the color red, unique glasses, and his desire to give people the intense beats that one would imagine hearing on the metallic streets of a futuristic metropolitan. Perhaps Cityzen can live in the past and the future at the same time, giving him the ability to merge vintage hardware like Moog synthesizers with futuristic house rhythms of the modern age. His sound continues to evolve with every newly released track, from the hard-hitting “Rave Tech Repeat” to the danceable “Unicorns on a Rocket Launcher” and now “Rock Paper Scissors.” Cityzen is on the verge of something huge and previously unimagined – and all the world can do is wait. Armed with his sparkling glasses and affinity for the color red, Cityzen brings to life a crossover of old and new that will become the unique sound of the next generation.

Afterward comes “So Good,” delivering deep instrumental basslines for a more underground sound, followed by the disco-influenced “You Got Me,” which provides an energetic and feel-good finale to the EP. ‘Reset’ marks Maximals’ 11th Protocol release, following “What Are You Waiting For” with Chad Kowal released on Protocol earlier this year, and “Back To You” on Showtek’s Skink.

Founded by Nicky Romero, Protocol Recordings is one of the leading imprints for innovative house music; it boasts a roster of heavy-hitters complemented with immensely talented up-and-comers, all with a diverse range of sounds that are guaranteed to light up a dance floor. Among them are Maximals, the Italian duo inspired by the atmosphere of dance music in the ’70s and ’80s. Their style is evident in the lighthearted vibes of their tracks, such as “My Best” and “Fall in Line,” featuring Nino Lucarelli, which was featured in the Ultra Miami 2017 official after movie. In 2019, Maximals remixed Raiden and K-pop star YURI’s “Always Find You” and Nicky Romero & David Guetta’s – Ring The Alarm making for yet another stellar example of teamwork by Protocol artists. Their triumphant comeback with the ‘Reset’ EP proves that this dynamic duo will always keep evolving their sound, and it just keeps getting better.

Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings has quickly become a renowned, taste-making imprint with a diverse roster of artists who all have one thing in common – the ability to excellently produce forward-thinking electronic music. Enter Trilane and YARO, the veteran duo and talented up-and-comer who regularly combine forces with tracks that always knock it out of the park. Trilane counts legends like Swedish House Mafia among their inspirations, the influence of which is nuanced in the larger-than-life feel of their productions. Their past releases include releases on Dirty South’s Phazing, Afrojack’s Wall Recordings, and Mirage Records, to name a few. YARO began his music career more recently, but the young prodigy is already one of the best percussionists in his native Sweden; his talent was recognized when he was just a little boy touring around Europe accompanied by the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra. He now works with artists such as Icona Pop, Benjamin Ingrosso, and many more. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for both of these talented members of the Protocol crew!

Radical Right-Wing Pastor Goes Viral With This House Remix Video
Radical right-wing pastor Paula White goes viral after she delivered a prayer service speaking in tongues in order to secure Trump’s reelection. Not to mention, she even called on “angelic reinforcement” from Africa and South America. Creatively, Seattle-based DJ vxrt uploaded a House remix video on Twitter adding his own funny twist. Personally, I don’t think the spiritual adviser to the former American president can make “miracles” at the moment, but I’m sure she’s having us laughing out loud with her nonsense/crazy attitude.
On more than one occasion, she has been criticized for using religion to manipulate people of faith. Those evangelicals who continue to support Trump and are willing to turn a blind eye to his bigotry and racism should reflect on their wrong actions…
So far, I want to congratulate my American friends on the promising victory of Joe Biden. Well, I can’t think of anything to say besides FUCK Donald Trump. 😂

Volt’R Channels Enigmatic Vibes In New Song, “Shiva” — LISTEN
There is something exotic and extraordinarily enigmatic about this new song titled “Shiva” by Volt’R. Hailing from Lyon, France, the prolific producer used to be a member of the IMAGINE collective. Not to mention, this allowed him to perform with notable DJs in the music industry like Magda, Miguel Campbell, Catz N’ Dogz, Tiefschwarz, among others. He started creating tunes in 2010 due to his love for the Progressive House genre. Nevertheless, shortly after, he felt intrigued by Melodic Techno and House rhythms to date.
As the title suggests, “Shiva” is a great example of oriental-esque elements mixed with driving electronic beats. Certainly, this club banger also works as a powerful mantra to listen to on the dancefloor. A 9-minute cut that gives off positive energy geared toward making you enjoy the best night out.
In case you didn’t know, Volt’R has signed plenty of tracks on worldwide labels such as VFTR, Central Dogma, Sound On Sound, Dolphin Records, etc. If you think he’s already demonstrating impressive soundscapes on “Shiva,” you can’t wait to hear what’s next for party lovers. Stay tuned on his socials down here, and grab your free download.

If You’re Into Melodic House/Techno, Check Out Truesounds Music 50th Release
Featuring incredible artists such as ARCTRIK, Fakdem, Maxi Vega, Rafael Cerato, and Who Else, the ‘Hush’ EP becomes the 50th release of Truesounds Music. Likewise, this Melodic House & Techno material is a testament to the label’s continued search for fresh and exciting talents. It took them 7 years to position themselves as one of the most beloved labels by DJs who work in the underground electronic scene.

Both the original and remixes distance themselves from the mainstream EDM sound. Here the production quality is hypnotic and dark as it integrates a mix of lo-fi beats and pounding rhythms. Add to this, an underlying sensuality in the vocals accompanied by a touch of mystery. All the producers behind this project weave together well-crafted tunes with a meditative yet driving late-night groove. Therefore, the ‘Hush’ EP is one of the most triumphant offerings in the genre. No doubt, Truesounds Music shows appreciation to the clubbers, bloggers, and radio stations who have supported their releases over the years with a special EP that glows with fascinating sounds to get lost in.
