Jolynn J Chin never fails to impress every time she plays the keys. Listen to her latest single “7 Rings Sonata” which is a piano cover of Ariana Grande’s recent Pop hit. It consists of a crossover paired with Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata”, featuring the famous broken chords theme in the third movement and the main theme from the first movement.
As a matter of fact, this contemporary cut is also a reinterpretation of “My Favorite Things” by Rodgers and Hammerstein. The classic track was part of a Broadway production from 1959.
On this occasion, Jolynn will dazzle you with this beautiful piece of Sonata art. Sincerely, I can’t figure out how fast she moves her fingers in order to obtain such stunning quality. Add to this mellow electronic beats, which evoke an air of modernity to the whole composition. Definitely, her music transcends genres while anchored to creativity.
On a side note, the award-winning pianist has announced the release of a debut full-length album for 2021. With regard to details, her forthcoming project has an experimental and personal approach. In short, this means fewer covers and more original arrangements. As it was expected, her recent work was written during lockdown and will feature exclusive collaborations as well. Stay tuned for more info.
