Cutting-Edge Pop Brilliance: helloworld Releases “Heartpiece”

Nowadays, if you wanna make it big in music, artists gotta get creative when it comes to dropping new tunes. Drew Wilken’s project helloworld, ain’t about traditional ideas. On the contrary, he’s daring enough to experiment with cutting-edge Pop, while gaining ground with nostalgic 8-bit tones inspired by video games.

With this in mind, fans of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will surely love his latest single, “Heartpiece, for its out-of-the-box concept and lyrics.

Exploring the Zelda Influence

What drove this artist to pen the verses of this cutting-edge Pop piece is the fact that Link is always on the quest to save Zelda. Just like in the video game mentioned earlier, this theme of wanting what’s almost unattainable, whether in love or material things, also applies to the message behind this new track.

So, each line leaves you pondering about that seemingly impossible quest, and at the end of the day, you realize that nothing is 100% perfect to warrant all that effort for life’s whims. Naturally, we’re humans and I reckon this is more common than we think.

Zelda-Inspired Music Video Delight

The music video is undoubtedly the best part. The producer/singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California, really gets into the character of Zelda. Moreover, his costume and dreamy set design all meet high-quality standards.

In other words, it’s like if your favorite video game turned into a short film. Plus, the music also takes center stage, with a pleasing ballad that is easy on the ears.

Vibrant Vocals

Obviously, one cannot fail to notice helloworld’s vibrant vocal delivery on “Heartpiece.” While it’s true that the visual and aesthetic execution of this release exceeds expectations and is of utmost importance, his singing talent is also pure gold.

It’s one of those voices that flows with the highs and lows of the rhythms and hooks you from the start. Not to mention, once the song’s over, you’re left with that feeling of wanting to keep hearing many more gems from his repertoire that just screams authenticity.
