Diplo And The Enigma Of His Ongoing Music Success

Diplo And The Enigma Of His Music Career
’s work relationships are nothing short of extraordinary – G-Dragon, Sean Paul, M.I.A, Britney Spears, Madonna, Usher, Snoop Dogg, and Wale are just a few of the talented artists that Diplo has collaborated with. Knowing this brings no surprise to know that many of these artists are indebted to Diplo for their chart-topping singles and successful album sales. In 2016, Diplo helped Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” release become a hit by producing two of the tracks on her sixth studio album release. In addition to his successful record productions and songwriting skills, Diplo also tours all over the nation in large arenas – tickets can be found at See Tickets.

Diplo grew up in Miami and credits the influence of homegrown rap as a key role in shaping his overall production style. Diplo has a long history with artist M.I.A. – the two were romantically involved for five years and the duo has created a number of hits together. The relationship between Diplo and M.I.A. has created a lot of media buzz. M.I.A. claimed in an interview with Rolling Stone that Diplo was very jealous and sad when Interscope signed the rapper. Diplo has publicly responded to M.I.A.’s comments and acknowledged that her claims are true, but he has said each time the duo would have controversy they produced great music in the end.

The high-profile controversy has not hurt Diplo’s ongoing success or relationships with other artists – he continues to create great singles and remixes that are played over and over again. Diplo founded the record company Mad Decent and built The Mausoleum which is a video studio, recording studio, record label office, gallery and event space in Philadelphia – the spot has become home for chart-topping artists such as Christina Aguilera, Shakira, and M.I.A. Diplo studied film and music in Philadelphia at Temple University. During his studies, Diplo had an opportunity to dive into his passion for film and has even told GQ Magazine that he would love to take a year off and strictly focus on film work.

On his days off, he can be found at Los Angeles Clippers game. Diplo has shown support for the popular NBA team via Snapchat and Instagram. In 2015, he performed with Skrillex and Kai at the Staples Center during the halftime show at Clippers games. T he artist also enjoys dedicating his time to today’s youth by providing social relief efforts through his non-profit organization Heaps Decent
