You know, a lot of African American women have that natural singing talent that just shines through. Back in the late ’70s, some of the first big names were Donna Summer and Gloria Gaynor. These ladies were like the Disco queens of their time, really owning that golden era of music.
Fast forward to the ’90s, and with the rise of Eurodance, we saw groups like Snap! and Technotronic come to life, featuring some incredible black singers.
So, you might be curious about who the best African American singers are in the 21st century. Well, in my opinion, there are three standouts: Kelis, Kelly Rowland, and a fresh talent named Wynter Gordon (Diana Gordon). That’s right! Wynter is a singer-songwriter from New York with an amazing voice. Before she went solo, she collaborated with big names like David Guetta and Flo Rida.
Her debut single, “Dirty Talk,” is set to be on her upcoming album, ‘With The Music I Die.’ And guess what? The Dutch DJ Laidback Luke has already dropped a remix of “Dirty Talk,” and it’s seriously fire!
