Draft Releases Ethereal And Ominous ‘Patience & Time’ EP On Mau5trap

Like its infamous boss deadmau5, the highly renowned mau5trap label has a reputation for being meticulous; the label’s artists and releases possesses an inexplicable uniqueness that cannot be found anywhere else. Its newest release is by Liam Tallon, better known as Draft, and it’s easy to understand just why after one listen to his ‘Patience & Time’ EP. Draft creates a juxtaposition of the ethereal and ominous by pairing atmospheric melodies with deep, resounding basslines, the result of which is a compelling brand of Electronica that’s all his own. ‘”Patience & Time’ is my platform to push boundaries. Draft first made waves in the electronic scene in 2013 under the UK electronic label Pilot with his ‘Phyrday’ EP, which premiered to such acclaim that he followed it by two more EPs the same year, entitled ‘Makeshift Constellations’ and ‘Pillage’. Not long after, he was picked up by the mau5trap family and proceeded to be the only artist on the label who curated and produced the full-length mixes accompanying their popular We Are Your Friends compilation series; soon enough, Draft was making a name for himself for his melodic and yet bass-heavy brand of electronica.
