Electro WOW Music Awards 2015
The Best Music of 2015
Hello, it’s that time of year again! With 2016 is just around the corner, there are plenty of tunes to play before the countdown to the New Year begins 🙂
BEST TECHNO TRACK
Chambray – Work That
“Work That” perfectly captures what Techno is meant to be: steady, in your face beats keep the body in motion, never allowing you to rest, polished vocals and melodies flirt with the mind. Everything is in order for a good sweat out, and Chambray doesn’t disappoint.
BEST HOUSE TRACK
Philip George & Anton Powers – Alone No More
The track continues Philip’s knack for infectious House grooves with soulful vocal tones. Having been given a 2015 House rework and removing the word ‘Be’, now the single “Alone No More” fits in with the current trend of 90s sounding House. Excellent production team!
BEST ELECTRO TRACK
Alvaro & D-Wayne – Take U
Freaky, twisted bass lines and vocal sounds turned upside down create even more madness, getting the vibe ready for an awesome drop and manic dance floor scenes.
BEST TRANCE TRACK
Markus Schulz feat. Delacey – Destiny
“Destiny” is what every Trance music lover dreams of: an emotional track that is impossible to get out of your head. Chord progressions and the dark bass line work in absolute harmony with Delacey’s haunting vocals for several minutes of pure dance floor utopia.
BEST DISCO TRACK
South Beach Recycling – Light Sabre
Since first appearing on Midnight Riot earlier this year, scalpel-wielding re-edit duo South Beach Recycling has closely guarded their identities. Whoever they are, they should be proud to be in this list, cos “Light Sabre” is simply AMAZING!
BEST REMIX
Duke Dumont – Ocean Drive (Michael Calfan Remix)
Michael Calfan tossed his signature spin on Duke Dumont’s “Ocean Drive”, remixing the track into his classic piano-driven style. With Calfan’s bright melodic sound, “Ocean Drive” turns into the best remix of 2015!
BEST ALBUM
Disclosure – Caracal
Second studio album by the English electronic music duo. ‘Caracal’ is more considerate and measured approach, as Disclosure seems to growing and, moving on in their development, showing the audiophile a different side to their musical talents. Fantastic collaborations with Sam Smith and Lorde!
BEST MUSIC VIDEO
Panteros666 feat. Woodkid – Clear
Video directed by Inès & Victor.
French electronic music producer Panteros666’s collaboration with Yoann Lemoine aka Woodkid on “Clear” has inspired this blending of digital aesthetics with natural surroundings in the largely CGI video by Inès & Victor. A music video inspired in Net Art, and the idea of how art translates through digital media.
