For some out there, it might be hard to acknowledge its success, but Techno clearly is the new dominating underground music genre in the world! It trumps the popularity of other styles which are on the demise.
Eminem once was one of Techno’s true enemies. In one of his famous videos, he states: “Nobody listens to Techno.” He might have felt that at the time (and maybe it was true for the US). But times have changed… And now EVERYBODY LISTENS TO TECHNO, even Eminem!
In a recent interview, he said:
“Five years ago I went clubbing. Amazing experience… ever since I actually started to dig Techno. After attending underground festivals in Europe, I became really hooked. And now I’m trying to get some hooks on some of these tracks I really love.”
“I feel very sorry to the Techno community that I ridiculed their music and for my blatant hate at the time. I guess I am just a late bloomer.”
It’s 2014 and if you are an Eminem fan who still believes that nobody listens to Techno, then watch the video below, and get ready to change your mind.
