What does $2,500 buy you? An unforgettable experience at one of the most bizarre (and expensive) restaurants in the world. Located in Ibiza, Sublimotion is the brainchild of Paco Roncero, the double Michelin-starred Spanish chef.
> The Concept:
To merge haute cuisine gastronomy with the most breakthrough technological innovation to create a multi-sensory dining experience that transcends reality.
> The Room:
It is a space designed to intensify the pleasure, to expressly represent the greatest gastronomic show in the world. The room is a blank canvas, where there is no limit to creativity and innovation. The only furniture is a table in the centre that seats 12.
> The Experience:
A completely immersive, multi-sensory, theatrical, technological, gastronomical wonder. It’s an interactive dining experience designed to stimulate the five senses and take guests on a never-before- seen fantastical journey.
“We play with emotions, the senses, the set, the aromas, and the taste to be able to create absolutely unique experiences with each scene,” says Roncero.
Sublimotion is only open from June through to September, but even with two seatings per night (and the hefty price tag) it can be hard to score a spot. For those select few who’ve been, the results all seem to be the same: unforgettable. It’s an experience that has to be seen to be believed.
