Just released last week is the debut EP from genre-pushing artist FATHERDUDE, ‘The Balance.’ There is something seriously special about this artist who has already racked up over 10 million plays on SoundCloud with his unique, soul-drenched brand of electronic music – and this new release through etcetc Music reflects that.
Based in Harlem, FATHERDUDE says his collaborative collection “is a testament to the great producers and musicians I work with”, and there are numerous big names from the hip-hop, bass and rap community scattered across the diverse tracklist.
FATHERDUDE just dropped his latest EP and the stunning remixes have already stated. An outstanding remix of one of the singles, “Eye On You”. It sees Melbourne hailing brother duo Two Can put forward a spine-tingling edit of this expressive cut; blending euphoric vocals with dynamic piano chords, and an upfront, sizzling House beat.
The two-piece previously collaborated with FATHERDUDE on ‘Double Edge’, and have been moving from strength to strength with both their live and studio projects – with a debut EP coming this August and remixes under their belt for acts like Carmada, Oliver Nelson and Viceroy on labels such as OWSLA, Universal (Perfect Havoc), Ministry Of Sound and Sweat It Out.
Allow this sun-soaked rework of ‘Eyes On You’ to transport you away; it’s an incredibly satisfying fusion of styles from both FATHERDUDE and Two Can. FATHERDUDE’s debut EP is out now through etcetc Music.
