1 — First of all, tell us what sparked the idea of writing a song like “HoDown”?

We just wanted to write a fun song and kind of joke about when a guy cheats on you with someone and you’re just like what? LOL.

2 — What new stuff did you bring into “HoDown” that sets it apart from your earlier music?

I think with this one, I just kind of didn’t think too hard about what the world might think but I just wanted to make it fun!

3 — Are there any particular lines in this tune that hold special meaning for you?

I love the part that says I’m a 10, and on a good day she might be a 3.

4 — How do you balance storytelling and emotion in the lyrics?

Well, usually I always try to relate about something that is going on in my own life. But I write down everything I hear that might make a good story. I have tons of thoughts in my notes (app) on my phone.

5 — What do you hope people feel or think about after listening to “HoDown”?

Well, I hope people find the humor in it and also I always want my music to be relatable.

6 — Do you think your fans will dig “HoDown,” or do you expect mixed reactions?

I think there are always mixed emotions in any little piece of music you put out. But I hope people love it as much as I do.

7 — What was your experience like working on the choreography for the “HoDown” music video?

It was so much fun! I have never done anything like that and I thought it was so cool to put a little more into it!

8 — Did anything funny or unexpected happen while filming these visuals?

Oh, the extras were all so great and of course extra haha. But it was fantastic making new friends and the owner of the bar Teresa was amazing and everything turned out so great!

9 — Do you find that your work as an actress or model gives you unique insights or inspiration for your music?

I definitely think that it helps when being on set for music videos, I have done acting lessons since I was little so I definitely think all the training has for sure come in handy.

10 — How do you see your music evolving in the next few years?

I pray to be touring and just doing what I love full-time!
