Funny Story-Turned-Collab Between Sam Blacky & Local Singles

International powerhouse Sam Blacky joins forces with producer/DJ duo Local Singles to create their new single “Hotsteppa”, a Tribal Afrohouse-influenced gem that truly represents both of their sonic profiles. Sam Blacky, known for her love of travel and incorporating global sounds into her music, shines in this track. She fuses deep bass undertones with tribal instrumentals and vocals. “Hotsteppa” transports listeners to a vibrant, grooving atmosphere, reminiscent of parties in the jungle or desert until sunrise. The track has already received live play from artists like Diplo and Francis Mercier at Burning Man and Tom & Collins in Tulum. “Hotsteppa” follows Local Singles’ track “Fever” on BLOND:ISH’s label and Sam Blacky’s “Ronaldinho” with Niniola, both released in May.

“I went to see Keinemusik for my birthday at the Brooklyn Mirage, one of my favorite artists for years. Although I didn’t meet the Local Singles boys there, we later discovered we were next to each other in the crowd the entire time. We laughed so much when we saw each other’s stories. We’ve always been friends and supportive of each other, so we decided to collaborate soon to commemorate that funny moment and our love for tribal and Afrohouse sounds, and thus ‘Hotsteppa’ was born.” — Sam Blacky
