Forget everything you know about the graceful, slow-motion elegance of a traditional geisha dance. Sian and Sam WOLFE just took that classic imagery and threw it into a blender of dark, Peak Time Techno.
Indeed, the visuals for their latest heater, “Another Pill,” are a sensory hijack that feels both avant-garde and hauntingly eerie!
Flipping the Script on Tradition
The video centers on a dancer who takes the classical geisha aesthetic and runs it through a dark/industrial filter. Instead of the soft reds and pinks we usually see, she’s rocking a cold, clinical palette of stark white and deep navy blue.
The geisha dance here is stripped of its usual slow-motion elegance. Instead, her movements are twitchy, sharp, and erratic. It feels less like a performance and more like a physical manifestation of the track’s lyrics, that feeling of losing your mind, but having no choice but to keep moving.
The Dark Aesthetic of the Geisha Dance
What makes this “Dark Geisha” look so striking is the blend of ancient culture and modern-day grit. One second, you’re looking at traditional hair styling, and the next, she flashes a set of sterling silver grillz.
To turn the weirdness up a notch, the music video keeps cutting back to a white Bull Terrier standing in a void. The tension peaks as the lyrics chant about ‘Heat’ and the dog begins barking at the camera.
This scene perfectly mirrors the raw, animalistic energy Sian and Sam WOLFE inject into their bangers.

A Minimalist Fever Dream
The whole thing is shot against a blindingly white background, which makes the blue face paint and the constant rain of blue pills pop like crazy. It’s simple, it’s hypnotic, and it fits the driving rhythm of this pounding jam flawlessly.
By the time the vocal loop hits its peak and she’s fully immersed in her dark geisha dance, you’ll realize this music video is a striking piece of minimal art.
Lastly, if I had to sum up this entire clip in one sentence, it’s basically a four-minute overdose of madness that completely shatters Japanese tradition. And of course, I mean that in the best way possible!
Musically speaking, it packs the heavy-duty punch needed to command an underground sweatbox. However, it also doubles as the perfect go-to anthem for a high-speed late-night drive. You can tell this one was built for intensity.
