Habstrakt is back on Monstercat with another high-energy, genre-blending club track “The One”, along with his first music video and Unlovable Remix. The new single is true to the French artist’s electro-infused house sound; it delivers a slowly burning bassline amid distorted feminine vocals and kick-drum driven toplines that build momentum for its intense drop, where mechanical synths take the lead. The video plays on “The One”‘s surreal, slightly ominous feeling, drawing viewers into a split reality between three people preparing for the most important moments of their lives and the pressure that lurks both inside their psyche and in the outside world. Unlovable Remix is a more melodic and breakbeat-infused take on the track, giving listeners a version to press play on no matter the situation. “The One” follows Habstrakt’s recent single “Lasagne,” also released on Monstercat, and “De la Street” on NGHTMRE & SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations label.

“I’ve been holding onto this one for a while, worked and reworked it a thousand times, and I’m so excited to finally release it. The moment I heard these vocals from Pauline Herr, I knew something huge was going to happen!” – Habstrakt
Habstrakt began his journey into music as a guitar and keys player. In 2008 he discovered dubstep and drum & bass, which would be his first loves in the electronic sphere. Though his sound is continuously evolving, his instrumental training is evident in the French artist’s precise and yet malleable sound, which distinguishes itself through a sophisticated production style that still sounds raw and urban. 2019 is a great year for Habstrakt so far. With releases including “Infinite” (his debut on Monstercat), “Control” on Tchami’s Confession, “All Night” on Tiësto’s Musical Freedom and “Darkness” on Spinnin’ Records; with his new venture into video and more fresh music in the latter half of the year, Habstrakt shows no signs of slowing down.

Sigala & MNEK’s “Radio” Is Definitely Fun Dance Music
This new song called “Radio” is a taste of Sigala‘s upcoming second album, ‘Every Cloud,’ set to release in spring 2023. To put it simply, fun dance music with an irresistible beat that will make you want to move.
The recent collaboration came together quickly and effortlessly, with MNEK writing the lyrics and recording the vocals in just 20 minutes. According to Sigala, working alongside the talented singer was like being in the presence of a real genius.
What’s more, the London-based producer has nothing but praise for MNEK, who he has been a fan of since his college days.
Curiously enough, the production of “Radio” is kept uncomplicated, with a focus on keeping the jam true to its roots in the early 2000s and late ’90s music. Plus, the accompanying visuals showcase a unique love story.
It’s impressive how Sigala’s dedication to preserving the sounds of the past while incorporating them into his work is evident here. As clear as glass, fun dance music with old-school vibes remains relevant even today.
If you are looking for an entertaining track to add to your collection, “Radio” is a perfect choice. Period.

Feel-Good Hit Alert: Steve Aoki, Regard & mazie Drop “New York”
The EDM world is about to be rocked with the latest collaboration between Steve Aoki, Regard, and mazie. The trio creates a feel-good anthem for the city of “New York,” something that will entice listeners everywhere!
Prepare to enjoy a fresh production that combines delicious beats, nostalgic vibes, and sincere lyrics. Definitely, the unparalleled production styles from these two geniuses with mazie’s velvet-like soft vocals are sure to get you singing along.
Indeed, her voice is truly mesmerizing, with a rich, warm, and well-rounded tone that is not harsh or overly aggressive.
In my opinion, I believe that this release is one of the most significant in the Dance-Pop genre for this month. And, of course, it also has the potential to be played on radio stations.
Furthermore, the original lyrics express confusion and frustration in a relationship where the partner only wants to be together at parties and is not showing commitment. Eventually, “New York” is the place to discuss the future of the relationship and clear the doubts.
Overall. the standout feature of the new music video is undoubtedly the futuristic party scene, featuring Steve Aoki as a holographic DJ. This is just a glimpse of what tomorrow’s celebrations will be like…
