Titans of dark Electro Pop Depeche Mode are back! Here’s the video for their new single “Cover Me”, which is part of the trio’s latest album ‘Spirit’. Anton Corbijn who has worked with them on multiple occasions directed this black-and-white clip.
Dave Gahan plays the role of a solitary astronaut walking through the streets of LA, following that, he begins a journey to the Universe. “Cover Me” could be described as a haunting slow jam, whose lyrics will make you imagine a strange adventure into outer space.
The song is about a person who travels to another planet only to find that, much to his dismay, it’s exactly the same as Earth. Very interesting and creative music concept, I can’t wait to hear the Nicole Moudaber Techno remix to be released soon next month.
