Watching Reggaeton videos is honestly the best way to learn how to dance to Mexican music. My recommendation is to check out Neton Vega‘s new clip, titled “RIKI,” a banger that’s super trendy right now.
It’s not just blowing up on the radio; it’s also climbing fast on the Latin streaming charts. The visuals are packed with girls on the beach hanging out with the singer, and that should be your inspiration to start moving just like they do!
Get to Know Neton Vega Before Everyone Else Does
Okay, so if you’re not familiar yet, Neton Vega is basically the guy behind some of the biggest Corridos out there; he literally wrote hits for Peso Pluma before blowing up on his own. He’s from Baja California Sur, Mexico, and his whole vibe is genre-bending.
On this blog, I’ve always been big on Mexican Reggaeton artists like Bellakath and Ingratax, but I haven’t come across many male talents who can actually rap well. While Neton Vega isn’t exactly a pioneer of this style, he’s better known as a multifaceted singer who explores different rhythms within Spanish-language music.
In fact, not too long ago, he dropped a housey banger with HUGEL called “Mami;” it’s a solid listen too!

How Do You Dance To Mexican Music
If your goal in reading this article is to quickly learn how to dance to Mexican music, here are the basic steps so you don’t get lost.
1. First off, get ready to shake those hips side to side in a circular motion, just like you see in the music video. You can also raise your arms, as with any other dance, since there’s not much science to the opening seconds.
2. Then, once your body warms up, let your feet follow that strong, constant beat that feels almost like a heartbeat. It’s like tapping out the rhythm with small steps, letting each hit of the beat tell you when to move your foot.
3. Finally, once you’re genuinely having fun (doesn’t matter if you understand the lyrics), go ahead and loosen up your shoulders freely. There are no instructions for that. Just be yourself and ride the flow.
By the way, I don’t believe there are strict rules for dancing. I think rhythm is something instinctive in all of us.
The point is moving in your own way and smiling if the track slaps!
