In Review: Todd Terry & Man Without A Clue - Bass Pump
Todd Terry
teams up with Holland’s Man Without A Clue to bring you “Bass Pump. The legendary Todd Terry has been a force in House music since the late 1980s and made waves early in the UK scene quickly translated into a worldwide phenomenon. He is one of the most celebrated figures in dance music which shows in his continuously growing touring schedule and catalog of releases.

Man Without A Clue had an amazing year in 2014 with his release of ‘When I Play This Record’ on Defected’s sister label, DFTD which was stated as one of the biggest underground records of Ibiza last year. He has been championed by artists such as BBC 1’s Danny Howard, Mark Knight, Stacey Pullen, and Maya Jane Coles and recently spent a week in the studio with Kenny Dope. He also has released in the works with Mr. V, Kevin Knapp, and Rae and just saw the launch of his own label, Clueless Music with the debut release entitled ‘Morning’.

“Bass Pump” is funky and groovy starting out strong with an infectious fast-paced driving melody. It quickly takes on a synth giving it an emotive feeling calling for a pumping bassline. The synth is well attuned and attributes accordingly to the looping drumline. This is surely to get the dancefloor alive and moving and perfectly suited for peak time hours.
