Indie Group Western Education Launches New Single

Lowell, MA may not be known for its thriving music scene, but hometown band, Western Education might be on the path to changing that. Their new album, ‘Let Your Secrets Out’, was released earlier this month and has been gaining a lot of traction in the underground music scene.

The album’s lead single “Peace” happens to also be one of my favorites of the record. It leads with an electronic synth followed by powerful drums and striking guitar that almost feel like an 80’s party hit. Imagine The Killer’s song, “Humans” mixed with a male-fronted version of CHVRCHES: that is what you get when you hear “Peace.” Overall, the guys in Western Education picked a strong lead single for their new record and found an innovative way to blend multiple genres. I will be excited to see what this band puts out next.
