Is Disco music dead? People think so, but Touch Sensitive just proved them wrong with “A Team Spirit.” The Australian DJ and producer offers a wonderful dose of groovy nostalgia that makes you want to dance right away.
The organic instrumentation and Connie Mitchell‘s vocals (yeah, the lead singer from Sneaky Sound System) completely transport you to a Studio 54 dance floor. Plus, that repetitive “du du du du” is all it takes to get hooked and hit replay over and over again.
I swear, if you don’t end up nodding your head side to side or at least tapping your feet when you hear this banger, then honestly, you’re probably a low-battery robot.
How Modern Artists Are Keeping the Groove Alive
The clip, featuring visuals by Isa Sanasi and stills by Cybelle Malinowski, evokes a retro charm that complements the song’s late ’70s feel. “A Team Spirit” that brings back the golden age of music — so is Disco music dead? Not even close.
Just look around and you’ll see Disco’s DNA everywhere. From Purple Disco Machine serving up Funk-filled anthems to Dua Lipa making you want to hit the clubs with her shimmering Pop gems, the four-on-the-floor beat is alive and kicking.
Besides, even Indie bands are throwing some Disco dust into their sound because let’s face it, people never stopped wanting to boogie.
That being said, Disco’s not dead; it just put on different clothes and kept the party going.

A Reminder That Disco Never Went Away
Touch Sensitive absolutely delivers with “A Team Spirit.” When you nail the groove, vocals, and melodies this perfectly, there’s no need to overthink it.
Sometimes you just need to make the wheel spin flawlessly. Clearly, he understands something crucial: Disco never needed saving because it was never really gone.
