Jay Santos was born in Bogotá, Colombia. At the age of ten, he moved with his father to Rome, Italy, where he attended Ludovico Pavoni State Middle School.
During this period, he discovered his passion for music, learning to play guitar and piano, while being inspired by Italian music from the ’90s that would profoundly mark his artistic sensibility.
At eighteen, he moved to Madrid, Spain, where he reconnected with his Latin roots and the rhythms that had always accompanied him: Salsa, Vallenato, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, and Reggaeton. In 2012, he released his first track together with Henry Méndez and José de Rico titled “Noche de Estrellas,” an overwhelming success that became the most watched video in Spain that year, and which is still today an anthem of Latin urban music in Europe.

In 2013, Jay Santos debuted as a solo artist with his biggest international success: “Caliente,” a track that crossed borders and earned two platinum and two gold records in Italy and France. With this single, he conquered stages in Spain, Chile, Italy, Albania, Switzerland, and France, establishing himself as a Latin reference point in non-Spanish-speaking countries.
In 2015, he made history by becoming the first Latin artist with a residency in Ibiza at the legendary Privilege nightclub. That same year, his label Envimusic signed a distribution agreement with Sony Music Spain.
Through this partnership, he released the worldwide hit “Dale Morena.” The track became an anthem for Zumba lovers around the world.
In 2016, under the Sony Music Spain label, he released the single “Baila” together with Dominican artist Fuego. The video clip was shot in Marbella, Spain.
Additionally, Jay Santos has performed at iconic venues such as Ushuaïa Ibiza, where he opened for Daddy Yankee. He also performed at Hï Ibiza as the opening act for Tyga.
His music continues to make audiences around the world dance. In 2025, he presents his new proposition: the “T” World Tour. It’s a futuristic show that blends Afro, Tech House, Dembow, and Reggaeton.
The tour features spectacular scenography and the most advanced technologies in lighting and effects.
This year, Jay Santos also surprised with his first singles entirely in Italian. This consolidates his identity as the perfect fusion between Colombian Latin fire and Italian elegance.
Certainly, Jay Santos continues to evolve, taking his music and his energy toward new horizons.

Jay Santos is building Anthem Avenue label, a union of the Latin movement in Italy that will be launched in 2026, infusing electronic music with his signature sounds with upcoming singles and talents he’s developing also through songwriting camps such as the latest one in November at Bruno Riva-Oggioni’s Art&Music studios involving artists like Vito LaNuevaEra, Davide Parato, Sofia Codermaz, Jay Peralta, Alexia Woods, Josh Carter, Batta, Billy The Bullet, Yaga Youthz, EXA, FÈM, Alife, Fablin, Santé, Vago, Malo Brawo and many others!
