The German electronic outfit revealed that they have started work on a ninth collection, following their critically-lauded residency at London’s Tate Modern earlier this year.
Asked if fans could expect the album soon, he replied: “Oh yes. Of course. It’s music nonstop!”
Hütter talked about Kraftwerk’s new-found freedom to tour the world due to the evolution of technology, compared to their early days of travelling with a hefty dismantled studio.
“Nowadays basically Kraftwerk is a space lab: we can land anywhere as long as we have the projectors and the screens,” he said.
Kraftwerk will play a number of European festivals this summer, including Latitude and T In The Park in the UK.
