Madame Tussauds Honours Trance DJ Armin van Buuren
He’s been named the world’s number 1 DJ by DJ Mag multiple times and played for the King and Queen of the Netherlands, but Armin van Buuren isn’t done ticking off career highlights just yet. Visitors to Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam can now stand side by side with Armin after the DJ was inducted into the wax sculpture hall of fame.
Joining wax sculptures of Hollywood stars Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie and fellow DJ and producer Tiësto, van Buuren’s waxwork twin finds itself behind the DJ booth in the ‘A-list’ room.
Apparently among the “top five of the most requested figures”, van Buuren had to partake in two different sessions in which 500 measurements were taken, followed by the mod and exact copies of his teeth and eyes being made.
The results are uncanny and you can see the creation unfold below.
