With this new release titled “Italian Boys,” you can expect nothing less than a high-voltage Hi-NRG banger, powered by Matt Pop’s expertise. If you loved the Synthwave remix of “Never Surrender,” get ready because Italove is bringing triple the fire with such a dancefloor bomb!

Made to light up your summer, this song will keep the fun and rhythm going even when winter comes knocking. Best of all, it’s got that secret formula that makes you sing and dance at the same time.

Written by Dr Mateo and Martin Blix, “Italian Boys” is a shoutout to those unforgettable days when Italo Disco ruled the radios and clubs across Europe. Now with an Electro-Pop twist, the genre is back stronger than ever in 2025.

A Feel-Good Visual Shot at the Iconic Kung Carl Hotel

The music video was shot at the Kung Carl Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden, which is where the band Italove is from. It also got some solid technical and editing support from Stockholms Filmskola.

Overall, the visuals capture that euphoric feeling you get when sunny weather finally hits. That energizing warmth comes through in the melody, packed with upbeat synths, and, of course, the chorus, which is my favorite part.

However, the spotlight definitely goes to Matt Pop, whose arrangements make you feel like Hi-NRG never went out of style and is more alive now than ever.

Inspired by the ’80s, Built for the Beach

If I’m not wrong, the lyrics hint at feeling cool, just like the “Italian Boys,” who are all about being cheerful and having the best vibe to enjoy every moment.

On top of that, the jam is kind of inspired by Sabrina Salerno’s classic “Boys (Summertime Love).” It even turns the “Boys Boys Boys” line into a mantra, bringing back that iconic ’80s flair that’s such a big part of Italove’s sound.

In short, it’s an awesome composition that blends nostalgia, modernity, and that sunny, beachy summer spirit. As a fan, you couldn’t ask for more from a band that keeps surprising you with top-notch productions.
