Max Styler Heats Things Up With “Feel It”
Max Styler rides an eternal heatwave of delight on Dim Mak single “Feel It”. Styler utilizes deep bass tones, expressive vocoded vocals, and anthemic turns to create an undeniable House burner. In the latest move of his rapidly evolving music career, Styler has taken a fresh approach towards his solo tracks in 2018. Moving away from the moody, glitchy Future Bass sounds of his 2017 output, Styler has now embraced a bright and vivid take on 4/4 house music. Styler kicked off the year with “All You Love,” a Vocal House record that acted as a declaration of this new direction. The current single “Feel It” now solidifies this mission statement and signifies Styler’s transition from teenage musical whiz kid to seasoned producer.
This summer, the San Luis Obispo-based artist had one of the strongest months of his career. In June he released an official remix of Diplo & Lil Xan’s “Color Blind” on Mad Decent/Columbia Records, as well as teamed up with Steve Aoki, Deorro and MAKJ to drop “Shakalaka,” a massive collaboration the artists performed together at Coachella 2018. Additionally, Styler joined forces with KRANE on “Changes,” off KRANE’s SESSIONS, Vol. 2. Styler’s constant flurry of new releases and performances at major events have gained him a strong following of fans around the world. He rounded out last year with a series of Asian tour dates, including Japan’s Wired Music Festival, Club Space in China, Cubic in Macau and numerous dates alongside Steve Aoki. Jumping back on the road in 2018, Styler reunited with Aoki on multiple stops during the Dim Mak boss’ Kolony North American Tour and again during Dim Mak Neighborhood at Brooklyn Mirage, where Styler performed alongside acts such as Carnage, Dada Life and Smokepurpp.

Tom Westy Hacks Jonas Blue’s Dropbox, Steals Sample For “Work It To The Bone”

Tom Westy may be a newcomer to the scene, but he’s already making waves with his infectious production style–and his new rework of “Work It To The Bone” is no different. The Welsh talent infuses LNR’s original 1987 classic with a fresh and bold house flavor, using groovy melodies and upbeat, funky bass to make for a catchy and undeniably dance-worthy record. “Work It To The Bone” is Westy’s first single of 2023, following up his recent “Sold My Soul,” also on Helix Records. With the cold weather breaking and festival season and summer on the horizon, this one is bound to be fueling dance floors and keeping the party going all season long.
“My manager also manages Jonas Blue, so I hacked into his samples folder on Dropbox, and noticed a vocal called ‘Work It To The Bone’. He hadn’t done anything with it, so I did. Hope he doesn’t mind.” — Tom Westy.
Welsh DJ and producer Tom Westy experienced his true breakthrough when his remix of DJ Snake and Justin Beiber’s anthem “Let Me Love You” went viral online, picking up over 100k views in the first 24 hours after it was uploaded and currently at over 5M. He continues to prove he’s much more than a one-hit wonder after selling out a show at Melkweg Amsterdam for ADE, and his next single, “All I Do,” earning over 700k streams in 3 months. His music has also attracted the attention of industry heavyweights such as Jonas Blue, Don Diablo, and Oliver Heldens, all of whom went on to sign his singles to their respective labels. His recent touring schedule has seen him play at the world-renowned Illuzion Phuket, alongside UK appearances, where he recently played the NASS festival alongside Majestic. Tom is also no stranger to TikTok and even had a few great viral moments on the platform with his remixes of the iPhone alarm clock and the BBC News theme song, which collectively surpassed 4 million views. Duke & Jones Release Eclectic, Minimalistic House Single “Program”

British duo Duke & Jones are back with another House release that speaks for itself in the form of “Program,” a minimal percussive track with multi-genre influences. Opening with a strong dose of kick drums and a chopped soul vocal riff that continues for its entire duration, the new single also brings in grungy basslines and tribal instrumental aspects. With a lot of groovy and rhythmic elements, “Program” places its focus solely on the house beats, making it feel like you’ve stepped into a dark, secret warehouse rave. Duke & Jones had a viral hit in the form of “Jiggle Jiggle” with Louis Theroux, but are now back to their first love in producing house music. Read on for their inspiration behind the new track.
“For as long as we’ve been producing, we’ve always loved to make super minimal, percussion-led drops. ‘Program’ takes this classic Duke & Jones aesthetic and spins it into a warehouse-flavored house tune, built around soul vocal chops and West African talking drum samples.” — Duke & Jones
Duke & Jones have always been destined to be the “producer’s producer,” having been friends their entire lives and producing since the young age of 12. Their philosophy has always been to let the music speak for itself; they don’t need record labels or huge co-signs to make an impact in the scene–in fact, they were the first musical act to release an EP on OnlyFans, where they received homepage placement and full social support for comic ASMR edits. The duo is adept at working social media to their advantage; their TikTok series has become a global sensation, and their Youtube channel is full of hilarious content. Last year, their viral hit “Jiggle Jiggle” with Louis Theroux, which started as yet another joke, earned them a number 49 spot on the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart. The track also became an emote on Fortnite and was shared by Megan Thee Stallion, Shakira, Jimmy Fallon, ROSÉ (from Blackpink), Snoop Dogg, Anthony Hopkins, Rita Ora, Coldplay, and more. With an array of talent that goes beyond just producing music, Duke & Jones are certainly ones to watch.
