Miralee is a Canadian artist many fans of Downtempo/Electronica should follow. One single word, defines her essence as multifaceted, in particular, because she’s a singer, songwriter, and also a music producer. The first thing you notice listening to her debut album is the natural and powerful voice that comes deep within from her soul. On the other hand, the first three tracks create a chill atmosphere, while the electronics in the background merge with organic elements. However, with the exception of the last number, entitled “Fly”, which is more energetic stuff. If the truth be told, I already have a song on repeat, and that’s of course, “Stranger to Myself”. This is probably her best composition, as it oozes a sort of sensuality with a nice melodic contrast between a soft piano-driven melody + rockish guitars at the end.
