I had the opportunity to interview one of the most popular female DJs in Turkey, she is the one and only Miss Passion. This interview explores her criteria regarding a variety of topics in the world of electronic dance music. Enjoy it!

1 – Have you always enjoyed the art of music? / When did you start as a DJ?

Music is the most important part of my life besides my profession. I started as a dj during my computer engineering education at university on my 3rd year.

2 – Did you receive the support of your family?

To say the truth, the answer was NO at the beginning. They’d prefer me to make a career related to my university degree and profession instead of a traveling dj. But in time, I guess they understood how hard it’s to entertain people and it’s really a serious business which comprises your whole lifetime. Now, they respect a lot and support definitely.

3 – Are there a lot of female DJs in Turkey?

Locally, a lot of names are overheard who mostly go in for commercial music. I wish to be the first one who opens the door to the global arena.

4 – How is the EDM scene in Turkey?

According to my observation, growing up very fast with a great support of a new generation. Nowadays, single events try to provide the needs for EDM lovers but unfortunately a real festival hasn’t stopped by to rock. That’s why most of the crowd in Turkey prefer to join Tomorrowland, Ultra Miaimi events every year.

5 – What embarrassing songs might I find on your MP3 player?

No chance

6 – What genre of music can’t you stand to listen to?

Altough I play and produce EDM, I don’t like classifying genres, let me say I like listening good quality music which has a soul or which makes you dance at least.

7 – If you weren’t DJing or Producing, what would you be doing?

Probably a Gourmet ! I like cooking and tasting different kinds of fusion food. It started as a growing habit during my trips, I keep wondering what will be in the menu if that’ll be the first visit to a city or country which I haven’t been there before !

8 – How did you learn to produce music?

By the help of my colleague, professional dj and producer Nurettin Colak who really has a great prestige I respect to.

9 – Please, describe in three words your latest track “Addicted Soul”.

Love, addict, passion

10 – What else can we expect from you in the future?

I really believe, for where u wanna be is passing through your dreams. If you can dream it means you can succeed. And my dream is to be one of the best female dj in the universe. Patience, hardworking and my passion for music will bring me there, that’s my strongest feeling.
