Are Modern Talking Still Together?
Thomas Anders and Dieter Bohlen (Modern Talking members) were huge in the ’80s with classic jams like “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul.” But here’s the thing: they weren’t exactly BFFs behind the scenes.
They first split in 1987, just a few years after their big breakthrough. Why? Basically, creative and personal clashes.
Dieter Bohlen was the main songwriter and producer, and Thomas Anders wanted more say in the music. Plus, their personalities didn’t exactly mesh in the studio.
Believe it or not, they got back together in 1998 for a comeback album, ‘Back For Good,’ and a tour, but it was short-lived.
They split up for good (again) by 2003. Too many personal and creative issues meant the duo was toast.
Since then, Thomas Anders has gone solo, writing his own compositions; the most recent ones are “Midnight Lovers,” “Lost In Your Eyes,” and his new bonus track titled “In The Garden Of Venus.”
A Night in the Garden of Venus
This tune is synonymous with escapism and romanticism. Imagine going hand-in-hand with the person you love so much to the “Garden Of Venus” at night and under the stars. That is basically the concept behind this Electro-Pop gem.
It’s worth pointing out that the chorus is way too catchy, so it’s impossible not to sing it out loud at the top of your lungs. And to this, you can add intensely passionate verses and, obviously, the falsettos that give a unique touch to all his musical work.
While it’s true that Valentine’s Day has already passed, this song magically celebrates enjoying the moment with the person who makes your heart beat strong.
