Dress Code is Derek Holley’s edgy solo project that is sure to please EDM, Rock, and Pop fanatics. Recently, the singer and music producer from Ohio makes sure to display a rich amalgam of rhythms on his ‘Light Up The Night’ EP. Likewise, this material is the follow-up to his “Ride Tonight“ single from last year.
On the one hand, you have 5 tracks with a bass-driven melody, hard-hitting electro beats, guitar riffs, and heavy synths. While on the other, his vocoder vocals give the whole EP a futuristic appeal. With such an ahead-of-time approach, the forward-thinking artist evokes the kind of emotions you get when listening to Daft Punk.
