nrg is a 19-year old indie artist from The Ocean State, Rhode Island. He has described his first Hip-Hop album ‘Love & Violence’ as a movie due to the storytelling nature of the lyrics. Believe it or not, he recorded, mixed and mastered the whole material himself. That said, this 8-track effort shows accurately his innate talent.
On the other hand, each tune stands out with a personal narrative. Personally, I believe you’ll love his unique fire-rapid flow on tracks like “Saks”, “Bag Run” and “Check”, the latter is a collaboration with Dstackz on vocals. Moreover, ‘Love & Violence’ feels sonically versatile because the rest of the songs contrast with chilled-out beats.
