Yes, you read that title correctly. Two #1 chart positions on Beatport—covering Trap/Future Bass and Hard Dance—are currently held by the Korean duo Pilament, who also recently reached #2 in the Future House category.
Pilament is made up of Equus alum, Bashment YC, and PRION HEART, both of whom have found success with solo releases on the label, with Bashment YC previously landing two #1 chartings.
This time around, Pilament showcase an EP full of diversity that includes a rock-influenced intro mix in “R U READY”, followed by a radio-friendly Future House anthem in “Take On The World”, and last but certainly not least is the infectious Trap record “Acid” that brings the classic harder sounds the duo have showcased in the past.
It is this diversity that has allowed Pilament to take over multiple genre charts at once and continue the ongoing success that Equus Recordings has come to be known for.
There is plenty more on the horizon for the duo as both artists have solo releases already lined up with the label for this spring!
