Here’s a new song that radiates smooth Disco vibes impossible to resist. Of course, I’m talking about “Moonlight” by Poolside. Co-written with Ben Browning from Cut Copy, it features dreamy vocals that capture the whole cosmic atmosphere of a starry night.
The newest track from Jeffrey Paradise, the mastermind behind Poolside, is also part of the fresh album, ‘Blame It All On Love.’ In addition, the visuals are super cool too.
You’ll see the singer surrounded by a mirror ball and an old-school boombox, serenading the camera from a hill overlooking nighttime Los Angeles. It was directed by the up-and-coming filmmaker Otium, who whisks you away to an enchanted evening.
On a side note, Poolside has a killer crew, including Vito Roccoforte on drums, Mattie Safer on bass and vocals, Casey Butler on saxophone, and Alton San Giovanni on guitar. Furthermore, his fans often describe his live performances as truly memorable and extraordinary occasions.
If you love vintage melodies and synthesizers as much as I do, then keep an eye on Poolside’s social media channels below. Frankly, I’m already in suspense, eagerly awaiting to see and hear something phenomenal like “Moonlight” once again.

David Bay’s New Single Redefines Contemporary Disco Music
David Bay‘s latest single “Dancing On The Edge” accurately represents where contemporary Disco music is at in 2023. Besides, while it may be considered uptempo, the song doesn’t lose its melancholic touch.
Those familiar with his incredible catalog of feel-good jams over the past few years know he can do no wrong in the studio. And, of course, “Dancing On The Edge” is no exception.
The vocals have a really nice, soft falsetto quality that, combined with the lush, warm synth pads and classy string sections, creates an elegant atmosphere. Not to mention, he seamlessly blends vintage with innovative, and classic with cutting-edge.
“Dancing On The Edge” follows Bay’s recent singles like “Strangers,” “1999,” and tracks from his ‘Zissou Edits Best EP,’ which got love from big names in the scene such as Solomun, SG Lewis, Lost Frequencies, etc.
Needless to say, you will notice he experiments joyfully with contemporary Disco music while preserving its essence. So cue up this five-star groovy gem, grab your best dance partner, and get lost in the funky soundscape.
In an era where cheerful beats are having a comeback, David Bay continues establishing the gold standard.
I’m really hoping he drops some more new tunes soon.

This Could Easily Pass As A 70s Hit! Meet Disco Diva Vanity Fairy
One might easily confuse this fresh tune with a 70s Disco music hit. With “Love Of My Life” by Vanity Fairy, it’s like she magically transports you to a glittery dreamland where everything sparkles.
What’s more, she’s capturing how light and sweet it feels to find someone you just wanna hang with all the time, and I think she nail-gunned that vision head-on. Despite the romantic lyrics, the vintage-like melodies make it a properly danceable jam too.
On many occasions, her glamorous vocals have been compared to those of Kate Bush. Likewise, I love how she dares to be an authentic diva by embracing retro aesthetics in a fun way.
“Love Of My Life” is gonna be on repeat rotation for sure. So stoked this fantastic bop is now out in the universe, spreading more good vibes. And if it reminds you of 70s Disco music, then you’re in for a groovy treat.
Big ups to Vanity Fairy and Moshi Moshi for the flawless release. Undoubtedly, I still believe in that passionate kind of love that lasts forever, well, this track is basically a love letter to love itself.
I hope it brings you the same delight it brings me.

Dua Lipa Unleashes High-Energy Spectacle In “Houdini” Video Clip
Lights, camera, action! Dua Lipa has unleashed a new music video that is a high-energy spectacle. This single, titled “Houdini,” is a Nu Disco jam that offers a glimpse into the fresh direction that the singer is exploring on her upcoming third album.
The British-Albanian singer dazzles on the dance floor in a rehearsal room, perfectly complementing the song’s exuberant flair. She starts by engaging in a dance-off with her own reflection in the mirror, before being joined by a group of dancers.
Moreover, toward the climax of the song, there’s a fantastic moment where the melody changes completely, creating the perfect setup for an incredible synth solo that enhances the overall atmosphere.
Definitely, my favorite part of this track is the chorus. Dua Lipa sings about being temporary. If someone doesn’t catch her fast, she’ll vanish like “Houdini,” a famous magician known for his feats of escape and illusion.
This year, she achieved solo success with the hit “Dance The Night” from the Barbie soundtrack, and she made her acting debut in a blockbuster film.
Without further ado, the idea of a groovy/funky material coming soon makes me so happy.
